Our bonuses come out in the spring based on 2014 earnings and a million other factors. Pre tax, that number is really nice and it's sad so much goes away before my bank account! . DH doesn't get bonuses.

Ours come in the fall. The criteria change every year, but are based on things like our flu vaccination rate among employees during the previous flu season, our scores on patient satisfaction surveys, and our finances.
I don't think DH got one. I can't remember. If it was it was in the spring time.
I got one this summer, but it was actually for 2013, but with the government not having a budget, etc, etc, they didn't actually give us anything until this summer.
My bonus was paid in February for 2013 work. I joined the company in November 2013, so I received less than 1/6th of my target amount. DH co-owns a business and doesn't really get bonuses.

DH did really, really well with bonuses this year. Mine was low 4 figures. DH will likely not see a year like this again soon. He had a few jobs finish up at once that he was paid bonus on, which is atypical.
I based on what we actually recieved in 2014 (my 2013 bonus and H quarterly for 4Q2013, 1-3Q 2014). My H's are quarterly so he won't get 4Q 2014 until Feb 2015 and I won't get my 2014 bonus until March 2015.
I really want to click more than $2M just to see how the board reacts.
I don't get bonuses. H probably will, but it may not actually occur until 2015 so I'm not sure the $ amount yet. They are giving the bonuses to their employees first and then seeing when the clients pay up (he is an owner).

Ours are kind of funky. I expect that I will get somewhere between $3-$5k. H's bonus comes in the form of a lump sum deposit into his SEP equal to about 20% of his salary depending on how his company did in the past year. Based off of that, I expect he will get between $25-$30k into retirement.
I don't get a true bonus - we get quarterly bonuses based on our utilization rate each month. Those are 1% of my salary for each month that I hit the utilization rate.
As for my H, his company supposedly gives out bonuses but he hasn't been with them for a full year yet so we'll see what happens.

Dang at some of these numbers. I got $75 this year, but I've only been with the company for a week. It's a good sign though since I was with the last place 5 years and only got $50 there. Progress, right?

We get our bonuses every year at the end of February. Based on performance, safety, personal contribution. It's usually somewhere in the 4-5% range. I'll take it!
y4m -- I don't think I knew that your husband had gotten a new job. If you don't mind sharing, what is he up to nowadays?
Biglaw again--firm with a lack of commitment to lockstep class year stuff, so actually I think a much better fit for him than his original firm since he's not the traditional "straight-through" type. He's been at work until the wee hours like nightly for a few weeks because they have a few closings this week, but he seems to be really enjoying himself despite it.
I don't get one unless you count the Visa GC I got a few months ago, which is my company trying to give me a "bonus" without giving me a raise. Long story. It was nice. Raise would be nicer. But we don't have a bonus structure. I answered for my husband, who will get a bonus in March, based on last March's bonus. His is a percentage of base, but based on individual and company performance factors that no one really understands, hence why they only get about 85% of their possible max bonus.
Mine will show up in the spring, assuming the company pays it out (which they've done 13 out of 14 years). It's be 10% of base, but this year it'll be prorated since I only spent 2 months with my current company.
Also, only on MM would there be a poll option that puts your bonus in the top .1% of income earners. v knows way to many people in biglaw and high finance.

Mine selected is an estimate. I should meet my 100% bonus but we don't get them until February and DH is paid bonus quarterly with a true-up in January.
