I let my DD16 color her hair at my stylist's salon (ugh, why did I start this??) and she's been in need of another appt. With the end of the semester and Christmas coming up I haven't had time to take her. My mom offered to take her to her salon and pay for it as a Christmas gift. Of course my DD jumped on this since she wants to get her hair done.
I tried talking her out of this since my mom has been going to this lady for years, and well, my mother is in her 60's. Her stylist isn't exactly up on the latest trends. DD wanted some crazy color.
So she gets her hair done on Tues and the color is kind of uneven and she totally botched her bangs. My mom tells DD that she always cuts her bangs too short. (??) It was half the cost of the stylist I took her to.
Do you take someone back to the same stylist that messed up?? What if she can't fix it and just makes it worse? DD isn't so concerned with the color but she told DH that she was embarrassed about her bangs so she's been braiding them.
Ugh. I don't think DD wanted to hurt my mom's feelings. I don't want to either but now what?
If the cut and color is really that bad, i think there is no point in going back to your mother's salon. They probably won't do a good job. I would bring your DD to your stylist. You don't even have to tell your mom!
