My FB friend posted a pic the other day from a pet store, where this dude had a pure bred wolf with him. He had special certifications and registration as an "exotic service animal"

I'd love that. I mean, not where I live in the city, but if I had land I'd want a wolf sanctuary. I tried getting a skunk (without spray obv) when we were homeschooling since here in Ma they can only be kept as pets for educational purposes, but Dh wouldn't go for it.

I know guys who work up north who end up with wolves as pets because once you feed them they will guard you for life.
I saw one at petco years back and her son who was wolf/husky hybrid. Son was huge. She was smaller but definitely looked wolfy. She had yellow eyes and a different tail. Freaked me out. They are beautiful but from a distance. Lol

So cool! Here's our pup, he's a hybrid. Sorry if it's huge, it's my first attempt at PIP! He has orange/yellow eyes, which aren't pictured very well here.

OMG - I would die of happiness if I saw a wild wolf (from a safe distance ; ) ). He's so beautiful - what area of the country are you in? Lucky you for seeing him - that would have made my week!
Well that is awesome! Dh swore up and down he saw two wolves when we were hiking in steamboat last winter. Swore! But after further questioning said it could have been coyotes, but it was absolutely not a pair of fox and he resents that none of us think he knows a fox from a wolf haha.

This was near Banff.
If we ever have any money, which we won't, we will be in banff in about two seconds.
A former coworker had two wolves, with special permits. I went over a few times. The female would sit next to me on the couch and lay her head in my lap. At first I didn't know whether to freak or be amazed. She was a sweetheart really, but she still had this very wild feel to her.
