Bummer. Even if the cough improves, fever-free without meds for 24 hours is a good guideline. If somebody else brought their feverish kid and your kid got sick, you'd be upset, right? (Though maybe that's how she got sick in the first place.) Sorry she's sick again. The first 1-2 years of daycare/ school are the worst for sickness. It gets way better.

yeah, I would keep her home. It is so disappointing though. My six-year practiced Christmas carols for over a month for Children's Choir and then got sick the day of the performance.

You definitely need to keep her home. 103 is not moderate! I sympathize, I was in the same situation last week. DS had a fever the night before his school holiday performance. We had to keep him home. Bummer, but I couldn't send a sick kid to school. Nope.
yeah, I don't consider 103 moderate. It's high, but not dangerous. My kids have been up to 105 (scary zone). I'd consider 100/101 to be moderate. Sorry, but I vote no concert. She'll just be miserable
I was totally regretting not sending her because she was so fine at home. Playing and running. The cough stopped. So thanks for assuring me - we did the best for all the other kids and her. She didn't even care. But my h and I were crushed. I let her make the gingerbread house with the nanny.
I hate having make a call like that, sometimes being responsible is the suck. I understand being crushed. I live for the cute things that DS1 is involved in. Hopefully she will continue to bounce back quickly.
