I'm irrationally sad about this

It is super considerate that you de-allergize (?) your house as much as you have. I'm allergic to cats, and BF's sister and her FI don't even try to even vacuum before I come over, so I pretty much die. lol

She is so pretty.
I know if we had to do that, I'd be going down like 5 times a day to check on my kitty.
When we go home to my parent's house DH just takes a lot of allergy pills. And my mom cleans the house like crazy before we come.

The all live in MO and we live in FL so they're all dying to come down. This is our first Christmas in our house and the entire family is so excited because everyone can fit in it, lol. Also, she stays at my mom's anytime we go out of town for more than two days so she's used to this, this is just the longest she'll be there for one stretch of time, plus it sucks knowing that she's like right down the road. 

She's right down the road, you can go visit her any time you want! Plus it will be a good excuse if they start driving you nuts and you need a break.  "Gee I really should go check on cat and make sure they have everything they need for her" and then run to the nearest spa for a message (just make sure to stop and see her on the way back so you have cat hair on your clothes as proof!)

Anyway, I don't think it's "irrationally" sad here. Your baby is living somewhere else, even if it's only for a few days. I'd be upset in your shoes, too.

At least she's close so you can visit her a lot!

You are a nicer person than I am. I can't imagine having my two dogs live somewhere else. I can't sleep without them.
