@ruralrabbit1 whitemerlotAshley&Scott -- what part of the store are those butterscotch caramels in?? I feel like I've looked through the chocolate-covered-goodness sections (ie, the shelves above the freezer section at my TJ) pretty thoroughly, but I've never seen those! Are they a special holiday thing?

They're available year round at my store. I'm not sure if each store is set up the same way, at mine they are in the freezer section above the pizza. Ask an employee, they are always super helpful when I can't find something.

We made a gift basket for my aunt and her kids yesterday and I can't wait and go back today to get the stuff I want! Haha.
We ended up with: Peppermint hot chocolate mix Wine Beer Peppermint Joe joes Lemon cookie thins Coconut cookie thins Caramel and dark chocolate popcorn crunch Cookie butter Dark chocolate sea salt caramels Frosted spruce plant thing
I want to thank everyone for this list of what to buy at Trader Joe's. $157 later.
I hadn't been to ours for a bit but I love that store. So I went today, they recently expanded it and wow what a difference. So many good things. I bought just about everything suggested above. I'm making up 2 "holiday fun" packages as gifts. We exchange gifts with our kid's in laws (DD's MIL and DS's MIL and FIL. DD's MIL is a widow so no FIL). I wanted something light and fun that you don't have to dust!
I also added the huge garlic stuffed olives. H and I love them. I bought enough of everything that I'll put out this stuff on Christmas Eve for people to snack on before and after dinner.
I picked up some stocking stuffers for MH after reading this post. I got him the mini PB cups, PB-filled pretzels, PB&J candy bar (clearly he loves his PB, lol), a box of green tea, some green tea mints, and a few tins of the ginger mints.

Above the frozen fried rice or frozen fish at my store! They are so delicious.

We do gift baskets for our "distant" admins every year (people who don't directly support us but send us a few emails a year). For $14 each basket had:
peppermint chocolate pretzel slims caramel chocolate popcorn mini panettone pfeffernuse cookies candy cane green tea
In past years we've done the chocolate-covered marshmallows, hot chocolate, peppermint bark, that kind of stuff.
