My daughter was born on dec 3rd. She weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce. She came home from the hospital weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces. The following week on Dec 8th she was up to 7 pounds .5 ounces. I weighed her today at cotton babies and she was only weighing 7 pounds 1 ounce. Does that seem like a low weight gain in the past 11 days? She seems to always be eating so I though she would be heavier and I wasn't concerned until I weighed her today. She doesn't go back to the doctor until jan 9th.
I wouldn't be concerned - feedings can weigh a couple of ounces, so a baby's weight will fluctuate by a couple of ounces based on when they last ate, peed, and pooped.
With a newborn, you want to weigh on the same scale because they're often not calibrated and can be off a few oz (which is a big deal so early on, as you know).
If you're concerned, ask your doc about sneaking in for a weight check on the same scale you've been using in office.

I agree with @tokenhoser. The scale calibration can make a big difference, as can how recently baby ate/pooped. I wouldn't worry, but if you are, ask if you can get a quick weight check.

We do an at home weight check on our little guy, but our ped office has us on the same scale every time.
At home we thought he was 6 lbs 5 oz. Turns out he is 6 lbs 10 oz on their scale! Now, we are going for bi weekly weight checks due to him losing too much weight in the hospital (he was born on the 10th). But it just goes to show how inaccurate different scales can be compared to each other.
