I just threw up four times.* I felt like throwing up all day. Not nausea but my throat was scratchy and every time I had a big cough I felt like throwing up. My throat is killing me. DH just got over a cold with a bad cough but started in his sinuses and mine are fine. He was sick for two whole weeks though and only got the cough the last few days.
Please say it's not the flu and that I won't be sick for New Year's. I was on my deathbed last New Year's and I really don't want a repeat of that when we have a house full of people coming over.
*Last pregnancy I only puked twice: once on a cruise and once the night before I went into labor. This pregnancy I have puked zero times.
If you are throwing up, it's almost definitely not the flu. The flu is typically respiratory, in your head and chest, with a high fever and maybe sore throat.
You may be in for a rough 24 hours though. I hope not, but anytime I have thrown up 4 times in a row the next day or two have continued to be unpleasant.
There's a stomach bug going around (at least down here). I had it last Friday (I'm now thinking it was a virus and not food poisoning), and H had it this Wednesday.
Good news is that we were both mostly better after 24 hours. Hope the same is true for you!
Are you exhausted but not feverish and have a killer headache? Because that's what I had on Monday, I threw up four times suddenly with little nausea except right then. The good news is that I felt fine the next day, so hopefully you will too.
