Trying to figure out what to bring on Christmas Eve and Christmas. I'm going to my brother's house Christmas Eve and we're just doing apps and desserts. Was thinking about making cookies since I have to make them for Santa anyway. Last year I made the ones with the Hershey kisses and they came out hard as rocks! Any suggestions for cookies or another dessert?
for Christmas my mom is making pork roast and told me to bring a vegetable (she's making mashed potatoes). Suggestions??

I made these desserts for 3 parties last week and everyone loved them. I did cut down on the oil as some commenters suggested though. The one batch I made with the amount in the recipe was super oily. They're really easy.
I ordered a prime rib for Xmas dinner. It is just H and I. We will have baked potatoes, green beans with almonds and bacon <--------cause it makes everything better, and a green salad. I will probably pick up a small cheesecake at Cheesy Edies in the city.
Christmas Eve will be low key, probably apps and snacks, we are having a bon fire in the snow with some of our favorite neighbors. Drink of choice that night will be hot cocoa with disaronno and strawberry vodka. And lots of ripped cream....mmmm.
J's grandma gave me the recipe for her moms Buttermilk Pie, so I'm going to make 2 of those for each house. I'm also doing Russian tea cookies and fudge. All 3 are easy but favorites
