I enjoy making a savory bread pudding. I put bacon, tomatoes, spinach, onions, and cheese. It's really good and you can add whatever you want to it, there's really no recipe, as long as you have a good custard ratio. I do 500 ml cream to 3 eggs. Obviously increase it for as much as you need.
Best of Bridge - Christmas Morning Wifesaver. The offensive title does not belie the tastiness of this easy casserole (think of a cross btwn a strata and a western omelette
I used to make this every Christmas (made it the night before). We might try it this year with almond milk. I used to use cinnamon rasin bread. It's so good.

We make this every year because you can just put it in the crockpot Christmas Eve and wake up to breakfast without having to cook in the morning. It's very tasty. Everyone keeps talking about the French toast casserole though that I may try that this year. www.jimmydean.com/recipes/breakfast/slow-cooker-sausage-breakfast-casserole
I cut back on the potatoes a little bit and add an extra egg or two.
This looks good and easy! Do you make the night before?
Yes, I have put everything together the night before and put it the fridge covered with foil, then just bake in the morning. It takes just a few minutes longer to bake when it starts chilled.
You can bake it ahead of time and it does reheat pretty well. I've only ever reheated a piece at a time, never the whole pan, so I'm not sure on the timing for that.

I want to make this! I would prepare the night before and cover with foil. Thanks!
We do an egg bake with hash browns and sausage. Made it last year and it was delicious. I can post if anyone is interested. I have it written down from my cousin.
