Oh, also: Has anyone read Mind on Fire: My Month of Madness? Opinions?
Liked it. Worth reading. It's not a favorite or anything, but the fact that I remember it at all is saying something because I'm terrible at remembering what I've read.

Okay, putting it in my queue - thanks for weighing in, everyone
I'm reading On the Shores of Silver Lake with DD1. For a Little House on the Prairie book, there's quite a lot of drama going down! It's not just Nellie pulling Laura's pigtails.
I'm also working through Tin House's Winter Reading issue, which has been great so far.

Just finished The Best of Me. Now I'm reading a book of 4 stores that are all Amish Christmas stories. Gone Girl is in my stack, as is The Story Teller by Jody Picolt.

I'm reading two books - one I leave at home, Red Rising, for moments when I don't want to watch the same tv show as my H, and the other is on my Kindle for public transportation reading, Lost Girl (Book 1).
I belong to what I will losely call a book club, every month we assign a book, then half of us either don't read it or don't finish it. Someone in the group will say " Don't tell me what happens!" And nothing ever gets discussed. We do however, go to a diner, so I get grilled cheese and rice pudding and am happy.
I recently read I Am Pilgrim, and thought it was really good - I'm not usually much of a thriller fan, but I liked this. I'm now on Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood - haven't gotten very far yet.
Parenting-related The Smartest Kids in the World (And How They Got That Way)
All Joy and No Fun
Is that one worth a read? I borrowed it from the library and flipped through it, but didn't get a chance to read it.
I thought so. It really gave me some new perspective on education reform in this country and why we're falling so far behind. (And made me want to pack up and move to Finland.)
I'm reading The Paying Guests right now, too! I've had a hard time getting into books this year but this one has held my attention so far. I'm not quite halfway.
I just read: When I Found You by Catherine Ryan Hyde
My Sister's Grave by Robert Dugoni
I did a free trial of Kindle Unlimited, so I was looking for the free books, lol.
Both were good, quick reads (I read them on vacation).
I also did the free trial so have been reading the free books! Other free ones I liked - Water for Elephants and A Long Walk to Water (very short/quick)
I read Don't Let Me Go by Catherine Ryan Hyde but wasn't a big fan - it was just ok.
AKA the same thing I've been reading for like 6 months. It's really long. ANd it's good, but I just don't have the damn time. I wanted to finish it before the end of the year, but there's no way in hell that will happen.
I think I'm going to read The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman next.
I read this last night after seeing it in this thread and I really enjoyed it. It was a really quick read but so good. It was cheap on the Kindle, too.

for some reason, this made me laugh, especially the bolded text!
