We have two separate units, a gas range and an electric oven and I love it this way and will never go back. The electric oven preheats super fast and the temp stays accurate without a lot of cycling off-and-on. You didn't ask about a range options, but I'll just butt in here with my comments (I think the range is more important than the oven, actually, but I cook a lot): Make sure you have as wide a range of btu's as possible on the individual burners. I have a really powerful wok burner in the center that gets super hot, and one of my burners is small enough that I can melt chocolate over direct heat. I actually use that one a lot, which I didn't really expect.
