PDQ
I have this weird cyst like thing on the crease of my thigh/groin that keeps coming back. It pops every once in awhile but doesn't fully go away. It doesn't hurt when draining, but it does to the touch and underwear and jeans feel terrible now. I've used peroxide and antibiotic ointment on it. ANYWAY- WWYD? go to my regular doctor, a dermatologist, or a gyno? Not sure what it is exactly so I'm not sure who to call? This is embarrassing.
I think I'd start with a call to your regular doctor. I don't have a dermatologist, so I wouldn't want to mess with finding one & getting in to see someone new.

I have had something similar on my mons pubis (lol) and was referred to the dermatologist instead of the gyno due to the fact that it wasn't on the labia or inner parts.
Basically, the derm said it was a cyst and would probably keep recurring (filling up, draining, rinse/repeat) unless I had it removed. I decided to wait it out and (fingers crossed) I haven't had any issues since. You can't even feel/see it anymore.
I'd guess an ingrown hair that keeps getting irritated probably by your underwear. I'd go to whoever could get you in fastest. Probably a regular doc or gyno would be my choice.

I have that too. Mine is an ingrown hair follicle. I've had it since I was 14. We tried antibiotics, ect but once it finally stopped bothering me I just didn't worry about it. I was told its called a furuncle. I drain mine from time to time but it generally doesn't bother me. I'd call your PCP.
It's most likely a cyst. I had the exact same thing. It kept going away and coming back. I finally went to my gyno and she basically told me not to worry about it. Of course, it went away for good right after that visit.
