I'm up feeding the baby, but I also have insomnia. It's worse right now because I'm on Cipralex.
The one thing I do find helps is getting at least 30 minutes of physical activity in, Particularly a walk outside. I find on days that I don't get outside and move around I have a hard time falling asleep.
I also had to cut back to 1 cup of coffee per day, before noon only.
Everything else for me is pretty much a crapshoot if it works or not.
I'm working, but all my patients are sleeping soundly thank goodness, and I'm bored at the moment. Have you tried melatonin? I take it sometimes when I need to sleep during the day and am having trouble, and it doesn't leave me groggy if I only get a few hours the way that Rx sleep aids do.

Had a difficult conversation with a friend, so I'm wide awake picking the whole thing apart. Sorry you can't sleep. Eventually I'll give in anf try a breathing exercise and get to sleep.

I've tried it and it doesn't do much. Usually my trazadone works really well, but tonight not so much. I was trying to fall asleep at a normal time but thinking about holiday stress kept me up. Trying to do a bit of cleaning without waking up the rest of the house.

I hate when my brain goes a million miles a minute like that. I usually try and listen to a podcast or watch a boring documentary that will put me to sleep. Hope you can get some sleep at some point today! The holidays are the worst for my anxiety. Plans and traveling and gifts and outfits and money, money, money. Right there with ya, sister.
