DH told MIL to return my Christmas gift.

DH came home last night and told me his mom got me a menopause pillow for Christmas.  It stays cool during hot flashes.    Then she began to question him about whether I was going through "the change of life."  I'm not.  Not even close.  DH told her it was inappropriate and she needed to return it.

I'm glad I was not blindsided in front of the family.  If I had reacted with the same crying snort laugh in front of Dh's family, I would have been embarrassed.

DH bought me one years ago when I started the world's longest perimenopause. In his defense I asked for it. 

This cover is pretty nice, but kind of stiff. I like a really soft down pillow-

I have the Chillow mat, and let me tell you, that thing is a life saver when a hot flash hits at night.  You youngsters might sneer now, but trust me, in a few years, you will most likely be searching for this very item.

However, I had awful hot flashes when I was on fertility drugs. A stay-cold pillow would have been amazing. I couldn't even close my eyes because it felt like my eyeballs were on fire
