Oh, and as a kid we always had Italian food on Christmas. Ravioli, stuffed shells, meatballs, braciole. So I suppose if I were to answer for my formerly meat eating self, it would be beef, but not roast beef. Roast beef was a light summer repast for my grandparents. lol.
When I still lived at home, we would do Christmas Eve dinner just the four of us, my parents, brother, and me, and it was always either lasagna or spaghetti. I miss those days, now it's ham at my ILs (I don't like ham), and it's ever-changing at my parents' Christmas Day, because it's my mom's birthday, and she usually picks out a casserole she likes.
