Where to go after Xmas to get decor?

This is the year! I'm going to get up early and get some outdoor lights for our house and other decor.

Where and when should I go to get the best deal?

I'm near Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Kmart, etc.

How do I know how much to buy?

Watching for answers because I want those lights that look like ornaments to hang from our trees!

Target will have good boxing day deals.

Not sure about HD/Lowes. I know ours were already starting to consolidate holiday stuff and last year I know our HD sold out of lights before Christmas. I'm going to be looking for a new tree for us, but wasn't impressed with the HD ones I saw last weekend.

Pier 1 is always a good stop. Maybe homegoods.

Target has 30% off of decor right now and 50% off of trees I think (I got a few things last night when i was there).

If you're looking for mark downs on ornaments and smaller decor items, I have great luck at Lord & Taylor (especially) and Bloomingdale's.   The L&T Christmas shop is one of my favorites.   The ornaments are really good quality and the mark-down %s are pretty awesome.

Target and Home Depot. Lowe's can be ok depending on the year, but around here they didn't have much left after Christmas last year.

I got a really nice tree at Home Depot two years ago. I sent my DH out bright and early the day after Christmas and there was not much left, I guess they had already marked down their Christmas merchandise. So I called my sister and got her to check at the HD near my parents' house and they had lots of Christmas stuff left. So she bought a tree for me. It was still $170 but I wanted a big one and it really looks good.

See, our Target is already almost sold out of holiday stuff and last year, it was a paltry selection after the holidays.

I might try Big Lots. They actually had a ton of nice Christmas stuff (indoor and outdoor) a few weeks ago and I bought some outdoor decorations.

i will be going to Target then Pier 1 and i just got Lord & taylor coupons for after Christmas so maybe i'll take a look there since pp said it was good!

If you have a Hobby Lobby, their ad says Christmas trees and decor is 66% off and wrap and party supplies is 50% off.

Not decor, but I order nice holiday cards and wrapping paper from Paper Source the day after Christmas.

I also want those big ornaments, so will be checking out some of the other recs

Around me the HD and Lowes were already sold out of Christmas stuff a week and a half ago. The seasonal aisle was filled with empty Rubbermaid boxes and cases of bottled water :,(

Kmart has had great sales on ornaments after Christmas.

I'm so sorry, I really feel for you. lol We just finally got one and it's def a store I can blow a few hours walking around in.
