Sleep and eating affected by teething?

Our little critter is almost 6 mos old. His first two teeth are out... One totally the other **just ** breaking through. Ever since the second one came through his naps have been for chit and he has been having a tough time with the bottle.

Is this normal?

Normal - though likely caused by the teeth he's still working on rather than the one that has popped through - they're still pushing even after they break the surface.

We were told a decrease in appetite is very normal (their mouths/sucking can hurt!) and sleep disruptions are par for the course. We had decent success with Motrin for helping ease his pain.

He doesn't have any other symptoms that would lead you to suspect an ear infection, right? (Fever, tugging on ears, drainage, etc) I wouldn't default to that assumption with what you describe - I'm just throwing it out there.

No other symptoms. Just crabby but it's normal considering the crap naps and sleep he's been getting. Poor bub.

Wonderwall - sounds like teeth - it's a total bummer. My DS is working on his second molars and yesterday was tantrum after f'ing tantrum - it's miserable all around.

Motrin MAY help your LO, Wine will almost definitely help YOU. Good luck!
