He got me a first edition first print of Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Plus he got me new Chapstick in my stocking. I just complained once the other day to him, but have been so annoyed with my old Chapstick. Lol it's the small things.
DH is not known as a great gift giver, but he did excellent this year! He replaced the kate spade Stevie diaper bag that was lost/stolen a few years back! He also made the reindeer pancakes I posted in the Christmas morning photos thread
In sad news, a friend of his (not a very close friend, but someone who he saw a couple times a year) died suddenly last night We don't know what happened...
I don't really have a Christmas or Hanukah related brag, but we have had an ongoing issue with our gutters and whenever it rains, like really POURS, H puts on his raincoat and crummy shoes and goes around to assess how all the guttering systems are holding up. That's love, man. It's so nice and he never complains.
I somehow deleted the Facebook app from my phone and neither one of us could figure out how to get it back. DH just came running in to me in the kitchen, all excited and relieved that he'd fugured it out. Not sure what hsppened, but we were both pretty happy it was all straightened our. Ah, the little things!!
Despite getting home quite late last night with a fevered and congested dd, DH put her to bed then assembled all of her santa gifts. He woke up early this morning to put the faux chimney on DDs playhouse (needed daylight to do it so I figured it would be an after Christmas thing) and finish getting things ready. He's now manning the chiminea while dd plays outside. It's been pretty great day so far.
He actually listened to me and didn't buy me much. His love language is giving gifts and he said it was hard but I'm so happy! We had a really nice simple morning!

When I told him I didn't sleep well because I was having some anxiety about the baby, he told me I should have woken him up so he could have rubbed my back or held me. He did the dishes this morning. He killed the spider in the bathroom I found when I went to get a shower.

DH designed a custom right hand ring for me with the same jeweler that did my engagement ring. It's beautiful. Has 3 oval rubies (J's birthstone) and represents the three of us. I teared up when I heard the story behind it and how much thought he put into it. He rocked my gift this year!!
Despite my post about H passing out leaving me to wrap all the girls presents, he is the best. Which is why I can let that slide. He did almost all the toy shopping and got some really great stuff. He also bought us all fancy keepsake ornaments from Neiman Marcus, and got me some huge gift cards to there because he didn't trust himself to pick the right bag without me there.
And he just made us a huge cheese and fruit plate for lunch.

He made my mimosa exactly right without my having to ask (2:1 champagne to juice ratio) and got me a kick ass gift - wine club membership at our favorite winery that we used to be members of before kids. Merry Booze-mas to me!

My DH is the hardest working guy I know and rarely complains. He has done so much the last several months with my back going out. And the last several nights he has been up in the wee hours cleaning out our old house, buying presents for the kids, wrapping gifts, cleaning. Marrying him was the best decision I ever made.
He cooks almost every night. He has put up with traveling to my crazy family for the holidays. He selected a very nice Christmas gift for me. He is he sweetest with Caramini. He is generally a nicer person than I am.
He's in the kitchen making twice-baked potatoes while I am lounging around in my pjs. Also, he surprised me with a gorgeous Kate Spade bag (one that I actually would have picked out myself) for Christmas this morning.
He is making the dish we're bringing to Christmas dinner while I lounge in bed with the puppies.
He got me a gift from the not-yet-born baby, and he is so excitedly talking about how things will be next year when we have a nine-month-old. It's so cute.

I have a 9 (almost 10) month old this year and it's been a fantastic christmas. He's old enough to love the lights and wrapping paper (he's indifferent to most of his gifts, which I expected), but too young to be destructive or crazy.
H has been amazing today. He bought me all the regulars that I love (lotion, magazines, candies) and a bunch of stuff i asked for - perfect he's taken the parenting lead today which I appreciate. I'm the "on" parents 6 out of 7 days, so I love when he's home and I can sit back a bit.
He cooked dinner last night, breakfast this morning, and dinner tonight. Actually, he cooks every night. And he tells me that he adores me on a regular basis. I married up y'all.

He's working a double today because he wants to put money in our vacation fund (and he had to work anyways). He picked out fabulous gifts, raved about my breakfast, and prepared our Christmas eve feast last night. He's the best.

He let me go take a two hour nap after present opening this morning because I woke up with a horrible cold. He is great in many ways, but right now, a nap is like my #1 priority. His love languages are touch and gifts, and mine is "leave me alone so I can sleep." <3 <3 <3
He got home from work at 10:30 last night and then stayed up until 2 am putting DD2's doll house together. I didn't hear any swearing (this could perhaps be due to NyQuil, lol). Mostly though I'm thankful he is able to be so involved with all the kids activities and day to day stuff even when he works a billion hours.
