We've had a great day. C loves her dance mat, grocery cart/play food the most I think.
You guys are going to laugh but from all the fabulous things I got, my favorite is the toaster. My husband brought a toaster oven into our relationship 12 years ago and I've hated it for that long. He's always said, "just throw it out and buy a damn toaster!" I never would because the hated toaster oven worked just fine.
We hosted my family today and everyone was on their best behavior, even the kids. Super great day.

DH got a replica (found on ebay-limited edition from the year he was born) of the teddy bear he lost when he was 3. He cried, it was adorable.
DD got clothes and a lovely made by MIL. Oh, and a peppermint stick in her sticking (MIL `I thought maybe she could have a taste`. Um, no. My ONE MONTH OLD is not getting a peppermint stick.)
I got a kindle paperwhite for MOTN feedings. And SIL made me two scarf/nursing covers.
Dd1 age 6 loves her lego friends olivias house. She has spent all day putting it together.
Dd2 age 2 loves her toy microwave. We got it on a whim and she loves it.
Worst gift was when my in-laws walked in and gave us a package of hot sticks and told us that they thought they tasted too salty but that we could try them and decide.
Me: a sony alpha (mirror less dslr that I've been wanting/researching for months) DH: I gave him the 12 dates of Christmas and he seemed excited about it. He didn't even want a "preview!" Hopefully the year goes well and it is a success. It is also a gift for me as much as him. DS: OMG, if he could sleep with the fisher price drill he would have. He didn't put it down all day. I was hoping for more enthusiasm for the kitchen but hopefully he will get it more as he gets older.
DS loved a polar express bell. He played with his wagon with blocks in it quite a bit. Highlight was he stood up in the middle of the room by himself for the first time. Also did a ton of walking.

I love those kinds of gifts. I got H a framed copy of a butt ugly Magritte print he has wanted for years...for his office, so I don't have to look at it. He's thrilled. I am thrilled I don't ever have to have it in my house.
Me: the framed photo collage DH made for me. He's not much of a planner or a sentimental guy, so for him to go through all our old photos, print them out, and have them framed was a big project.
DH: he really liked the Chillsner individual beer cooler I put in his stocking. And the hearth gloves for the wood stove.
DS: all the Santa gifts were a big hit. Train set, tunnel, and lawn mower toy. He eagerly showed them all to everyone!
DD's favorite was also the flashlight I stuck in her stocking for her new Usborne books. Besides that she really likes her magnatiles and the gymboree pug purse. She thinks the big fat caterpillar is HILARIOUS.
DH's favorite is the desk calendar I made for him with pics from the last year
Dh got me Cards Against Humanity (we need to find people to play it with, maybe KC MMMs?), a starbucks gift card, and chocolate hippos from Dean and Deluca.
tomorrow we are gifting ourselves with a new dishwasher :\
DD loved the anywhere chair, play kitchen, Duplos, and the Melissa & Doug "band in a box" set; also the Daniel Tiger book in her stocking was a surprise hit
DH scored mega points with his gifts to me this year, including a Kate Spade purse
The highlight was probably having an impromptu jam session with DH, DD, and my parents and brother, with all of us playing the instruments from the M&D band set while singing Christmas songs. DD was in heaven and played the triangle like a boss!

DS loved his new shopping cart, puppets, FP Little People Farm, and trampoline. He jumped a LOT today!
My Mom went to 4 Starbucks' to get me the Philadelphia coffee mug I asked for. I was touched that she put so much effort into something that cost $10, but knew it would make me happy. H got me a pair of very nice diamond earrings "from DS". Very unexpected. I am super excited about a gc H got me for my bday (today also) - it's for a few hours with a personal stylist/organizer. This person comes to your house, goes through your closet with you to purge clothing, figures out what you need, helps you shop, and then puts multiple outfits together for you. I am no fashionista by any means...I love shopping though and end up with a ton of clothes that I like, but don't go together. I am super excited for some help with streamlining what I own.
The highlight of my day was having a completely stress free day with just the 3 of us. Both of our families are about 8 hours away and we did a quick visit up there 2 weeks ago. We very rarely have a day where H is off of work and there's no project to do, errands to run, etc. I missed celebrating today with other people a little bit, but I hope to remember this day in the future and make family time a major priority in the future.
ETA: Brie - I saw a glimpse of your DS's train table on IG. What kind is it? It looks fun and I want to think about scoping out train sets for DS's bday in June.
This rave toy is baby heroin. It vibrates and has spinny lights. He just stared at it for ten minutes as if the rest of the world didn't exist. MIL was like "I'm so bad for buying this toy, I'm sorry" and I'm all "NO HONEY, YOU DONE GOOD." If you just need a break so you can fix yourself a martini, go get this. She got it at one of those Wall Drug-type places somewhere in the Interior West, but I'm sure you can find it at Target or on Amazon.
My brother and his FI bought DD a toy grill. I have no idea where I'm going to put the damn thing but she cooked dinner on it all afternoon and cried when we had to pack it up to go home.
Her dollhouse is a second. She adores it too but we haven't been home to really play with it tomorrow.
Her tractor rainboots are also a hit.
She also got a ton of art supplies and consumables. Stuff I wouldn't let her open and all forgotten in the stuff I did let her play with, but later this winter she's going to be so in love with the art kits/make a volcano and whatever else.
DS got the little people plane and he enjoyed that for 10 seconds. Would have more but he's teething today and didn't get a nap. So nothing was fun for him.
We have so much STUFF. Tomorrow is purge day. I'm okay with it though. We're in a weird toy transition (DD is moving on, I'm not sure what Little Guy is into at the moment but he's bored with the baby stuff all of a sudden.) and actually could use some fresh stuff.
DS LOVED his tent/tunnel/ball pit. Like dive head first in & throw the balls in the air.
He also loved all the Go Go smart wheel sets from Vtech. He already had two sets, but got two more, plus extra cars.
My favorite gift is that DS is still sleeping. This is the first time I've woken up before him (on a weekend, weekdays I'm up for work). And the unprompted thoughtful gift from DH of a necklace & earrings set with DS's birthstone.

For this 11-month-old, the Fisher Price crawl around car has been a hit! Also, the Baby Einstein take-alone tunes. That went on his wish list thanks to this board.
Everything else, she was like eh, about it. She is just a baby so she doesn't care
DS loved pretty much everything he was gifted this year. His Lego sets, Monopoly and Shark Attack games, Disney Infinity 2.0....although I was sort of underwhelmed by it and like Disney Infinity 1.0 for lyfe!!!
The magnatiles were a huge hit with all 3 of the oldest. DD1 got a kindle fire and loves it. Dd2's favorite thing is a Wonder Woman costume I got for like $2 after halloween, she wore it all day yesterday. Dd3 loves all the doc mcstuffin stuff she got
