Looks like a stereo-typical McMansion to me. I hate those developments--WTF happened to all the trees? And why would I want a house that large that is so close to my neighbors? Sorry, NMS at all.
We were really disappointed when went through with our realtor. It was just a weird, wasted space feel. The outdoor areas were good, but the house, while nice was just wrong for us. I was curious what say MM, lol. I see they have already dropped the price, it probably could have been a bargain, but not right for our preferences.
I definitely wouldn't complain if I had to live there.
That said, I'm not a fan of the exterior stonework. It is kind of a funky color. Also, is there really just a carport and no garage? It seems like a house that nice should have a garage, yes?
No garage. That was the first thing that came out of my mouth. Poor planning.

I wouldn't turn it down if someone gave it to me, but it isn't really my style. I do like the outdoor space, but I think it needs some more lush landscape (nothing that you couldn't add). I would worry about being on a lake and having kids (same with the pool), but a fence would help
Also, it cracks me up to think of that house as being close to the neighbors. Man my standards have dropped since moving here.
I wouldn't turn it down, especially since that price would barely by the carport in some areas around here. But, since this is a post to be picky, I'm bothered by the weird paint on the stepped ceilings (fixable), the carport so far from the house and not even a covered path between them, the pool without a fence (safety girl!), and the general browness of the whole place. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of brown and I generally use it as my neutral (with lots of accent colors). But the whole thing felt brown to me in a way that might be hard to overcome with accents.
eta: Oh, and the sinks facing each other would drive me batty. DH splashes water EVERYWHERE and it would end up on my side!
Also, I just flipped through the pictures again. I guess there were some rooms that weren't brown. But see, even with the paint, I still felt "brown." I think the mustardy-yellowy-brown above the stone outside contributed.

We were not sure that we could even insure it without a fence. It's more than an acre, which is all I care to handle yard work wise. All the homes there have 1-2 acres, not close at all.
It's gorgeous. The only thing I don't like is the kitchen island.
I'm positive the responses would be far different if this were the house you were buying.
Probably, lol. I thought I was really going to get in a knock-down-drag-out fight with H over wanting this house, but in the end even he agreed it was just "not for us".
FWIW, the house we are buying has awesome outdoor space, lake lot and we are building the pool we designed, so all hopefully, will end well.
I'd take it if someone gave it to me for my current mortgage payment ($1200). If I was shopping in that price range I would most likely hold out for something else. I always like the idea of living on a lake, but in reality I'd be petrified of the snakes we'd get.

Snakes are a real concern for us. Someone turned here mentioned Snake Away. It is already in my Amazon basket.
Strongly dislike. I wouldn't be able to make that my home at all. I really dislike the faux-Mediterranean McMansion style, especially the tray ceilings and tile floors. And yeah, the carport thing is strange.
The outdoor space bothers me. The carport, pool, and grill area is really spread out and quite a ways away from the house. The inside is too busy for my liking.
It's a house I'd also want to see in person. It looks really nice. That's a big house though! I've always liked newer construction homes.
We have a detached garage right now and in our next home I want an attached garage. But I also live in a rainy place and get tired of not having cover walking to and from the house. I agree that a carport doesn't seem right for the style of a house or price point.
I do think the sinks in the bathroom are weird. Actually, the bathroom seems a little too overdone for me, as much as I like new construction.

I would be so annoyed at all the little "cut-ins" in the wall. It seems like every one of them would need some sort of accent piece or require special details when painting. Too many trayed ceilings for my taste as well, very much NMS. And its in Texas, which would be my deal-breaker

I'm impressed with how much more you get for your money than I would with the same price point here.
That said, it's totally not my style. I wouldn't mind visiting a friend or family member there for a long weekend, but I wouldn't want to live there. It's huge and mcmansion-y.
Add me to the list of people who hate that odd-shaped island. And the ceilings.
But I live in a nearly 100-year old 600sf bungalow and love it (aside from my landlord's remodeling shortcomings), so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
