I'm putting together my work out program starting after the new year and want to incorporate some yoga, Pilates and Zumba. I am going to purchase a dvd of each of them but I need recommendations. I would be considered a beginner for sure. What do you use? Do you enjoy it? Etc

I really enjoyed Zumba! We have an Xbox game for it so it tracks your movements with the Kinect. So if that's something you have, that's something I'd recommend! It is a bit hard to keep up with at first though because I'm not that coordinated, haha. I've only used a couple cheap pilates/yoga DVDs that were just ok, but I really love yoga. I used to take a class when I went to LA Fitness. I love the class setting, but can't really afford that right now. I bet there are a bunch of free ones on YouTube, Netflix, or even on demand if you have cable. I haven't looked into it lately, but I know there are workouts on there! Oh, and I got the Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown DVD but haven't been able to try it yet. I liked 30 Day Shred (although I never made it past level 1 and never did a whole 30 days) and the yoga one has good reviews!

I have a pilates for dummies dvd that I've had for ever (probably 10 years). I really like it. It's only about 20 minutes and while it's not the most intense workout ever, you will still feel it. It's really good for something quick and easy to throw in to your routine.
estrellita Is the zumba for the Kinect worth it? I was looking at a Zumba game the other day. I used to love going to zumba classes but since the one we went to got sold it isn't the same. I miss it and haven't found another class I like yet.

I haven't used it since we moved because we don't have the space for the Kinect to properly track the movements, but I did really like it! I think if you have the space for it, it's worth it. I suppose a DVD could do the same thing, but it's kinda fun to get the achievements and stuff on the Xbox
I haven't used any workout DVDs in a long time but I think I'm going to write out a workout schedule every month and try my best to follow it. I really need to lose some weight and these holidays did not help at all.
travelbug- I was given 2 calendars for Christmas. One is a big one that I have gotten every year and DH and I use it to put all of our schedules on. And I'm going to use the other one to track working out.
I also bought a third calendar as our pup was a model for our local rescues calendar so I bought it to support them. That one is getting all of our budget stuff on it.
