So I realized that I kind of cheat as I don't log every single calories that passes my mouth. But seriously, it's SUCH as hassle! In general, the ones I haven't been adding:
Tic Tacs - I eat maybe 3-6 on my way home from work. They're less than 2 calories each.
Peanut M&Ms - my coworker always sets out a bowl and I try really hard to resist, but they are right next to our sample books that I have to access multiple times a day. However, I have managed to restrict myself to 6 or less per day, most commonly 2-3. I don't feel like attempting to figure out the math for that!
I try to log everything else, even if it's just a quick-cal add estimate.
Back when I was cal-counting for the wedding, no, I did not "cheat". I used to even count the lemon I squeezed in my water (somewhere around 6 cal per wedge). Of course there's a lot of estimating, but no purposeful omission.
It's up to you. If you feel like its under control (and control is what food logging is about) then don't sweat it. If you start to think it might be out of control, log it!!
