So with the girls they were far enough apart that we didn't see a need for a double stroller but with this last one and J being about 18 months apart we figured a double will be needed for sure. We have a BOB now and absolutely love it, as the bigger tires are great for most of the things we use the stroller for. But the double is just to wide and has mixed reviews on fitting through doors.
SO- I have been looking and really love the City Select www.babyjogger.com/product/city-select/ and how it is when it turns into a double. Buying all the parts is pretty spend though but I would probably buy the stroller used anyways. The other one I like after H told me I should look around more was the Bumbleride Indie Twin www.bumbleride.com/strollers/indie-twin also pretty spend and would probably try to find used if chosen.
The question is does anyone have familiarity with either of these brands or even more specific with either of these particular strollers?
I have the City Select and love it! My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a cup holder. I just bought an aftermarket storage thing that has worked well.
not with these specific strollers, but i have a sit n stand for mine that are 20mos apart, and i 90% love it. the functionality is great bc i can't get bjl to sit still most the time anyway.

Same here only mine are 2 1/2 years apart so your situation...sorry I can't help!
Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the sit and stand just because I don't think it will work for the age range I'll have. I need more being able to strap 'em down kind of thing for the younger 2 lol.
I have also been told by H that I am way to picky with strollers but after explaining it all to him and my reasoning I think he gets it more. That and we need something with bigger tires/wheels since most of our stroller use is not on flat, smooth ground.

I'll chime in here since I need a double stroller with twins. I bought both my strollers used and they're great. I have the bumbleride indie twin for just pushing out my front door and walking around downtown. I have the city mini double in my car and it's great; not as good at off roading but much lighter and easier to fold up.
My friend who nannies twins they own a double bob and a city select. She much prefers the bob for pushing around town but then again she doesn't take them in the car much.
Thank you for that @firemanjammies that gives me a lot to think about. The city select really had me drawn in for the idea of being able to use it as a single or double for when our middle child would be older and not need the stroller as much but our youngest might. But if its sensitive to weight like that and how it reacts thats probably no good for what we need. We use our stroller now on lots of grassy areas, dirt roads, gravel and the last thing I need is difficulty getting around.
I really do love our single BOB and just everything about it but I'm so afraid a double will leave me struggling sometimes to get through doorways. I might have to weigh out the love of the BOB and the wideness of it vs how many times I really go through doorways that I could get stuck in lol Looks like I'm going to have to add the Duallie to the list and see, I know one of the good things is there are a ton of the duallies used on craigslist if we go that route. While the other strollers I have looked at are not as available
