Brought to you by someone stealing our free, building provided trash can. (We have "valet" trash service that gets picked up outside our door, but has to be in one of their bins)
About 7 years ago someone stole our snow shovels off our porch in the middle of winter.
8 years ago someone broke into my car and stole my stereo. They did leave my Justin Timberlake cd, thankfully.
When I was getting ready to leave XH I had about 2000 in cash in my pocketbook and someone stole it. It was on my desk at school (before school started) and then it was gone. A colleague had to have stolen it.

This is horrible.
A guy broke into my condo a few years ago. He stole a laptop, $200 cash, and my feeling of safety in my own home for a while.

My birth certificate and SS card. Someone broke into our home when I was a teenager and stole the lockbox (among other things). Congratulations douchbags. You got paper.
A gorgeous diamond cocktail ring my grandfather gave my grandmother as a 25th anniversary present. They gave it to me when I graduated college. It was stored at my parents' house and they were robbed, all my mother's jewelry stolen. I'm still upset about it all these years later.

Yes, especially since it was an adult. totally my fault for not locking my purse away. I did not think I had to before the students arrived!
My debit card was stolen once. It was about 14 years ago. There was only about $50 in my account at the time, but they took my account down to around -$2,500. The bank credited it all back.
The guy who stole it was my manager at work. He spent most of it at the store we worked at, and then the rest at various other stores in the same mall. Don't shit where you eat man... He was fired, banned from the mall, fined, and put on probation. And after all that, he was then was fired from his next job too. Totally my fault. LOL.
I had quit the mall job shortly after the thief was fired and I got a new job. About a month later, I go into work and the guy who stole my card was sitting at the desk beside mine, it was his first day. I went to my manager and asked to have my seat moved and to have a key for my desk. They asked what was up and I told them what had happened with my debit card. They fired him on the spot for not disclosing a prior conviction. Oops.

My beach cruiser and my license. When my license was stolen, the thief used it to commit crimes, so I had a warrant out for my arrest for 6 weeks and didn't even know it! The dumbasses still issued the warrant, even though I reported it stolen. I had to go to court and everything. Thankfully, my record ended up getting expunged.
Other than metaphorical things, or shit my XH did, I can't recall any items stolen from me other than, you know, my brother taking my sweatshirt or something. I've been lucky in that regard.

I had a bike stolen from my storage unit....and then the same thing happened to my tenant who now rents from me. Wtf to the people that live in the building - it has to be someone who lives there!
2 CCs out of the mail. It was a woman in our building. She charged over $15,000 in a month.
Stupidest thing "stolen" (not really as we hadn't bought it yet, but funny) - we were at the store getting cookout stuff. It must have beenright before something like the 4th of July. we grabbed the last package of potato bread hot dog rolls. We continue through the store. At some point, we look down and see that the package is no longer in our cart but it was replaced w/ a cheap package of rolls.
