For example, today I bought a new shower curtain liner for our master bath. I felt a little silly with how much joy I had getting rid of the old liner and having a clean new liner and even looking forward to taking my first shower with the new liner hanging.
I am also feeling much joy from drinking a cold Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA at this moment, and that it is Saturday night with Sons of Anarchy waiting patiently for me and DH to turn on.
Do I just have a sad life to be happy from these simple things, or does anyone else find joy and happiness in the simplest, silly things?
I don't think that's sad - I think that's great! Even those with super exciting lives would benefit from stopping to enjoy the little things.
I bought a new shower liner yesterday too, along with a new shower caddy thing I've been wanting for a while. It made me really excited too! lol. The liner was looking pretty gross and it gave me a chance to clean the tub so it looks great at the moment.

LOL this was totally me about 3 weeks ago...I also bought new shower curtain hooks - metal instead of plastic and I was/am overjoyed!!! Enjoy!
It makes me happy to see a pair of Canada geese on the side of the road and one is eating while the other has its head up. I like knowing that the one is looking out for the other.

If you live a sad life, I do too because a new shower liner can go a long way! I am currently extremely happy because the apartment is spotless, I have plenty of Moscato to fill up this wine glass, my chihuahua puppy is curled up on my lap and DH and I are about to enjoy watching a movie together.
My smaller kitty keeps climbing onto my lap, which makes me feel good.
I just finished watching Little Women, and although I'm a little ticked that they changed the story around a bit, I loved the final scene with Jo and Bhaer.
Seeing my yorkie when he comes out of the groomers makes me smile. Even more so is how upset our other dog gets when the yorkie is gone but to see them reunite is the most precious thing! They are such best buds!
Yes, the first night on clean sheets when they smell fresh and are tucked in smoothly and pulled tight.
Oh, yes! I so look forward to Monday nights each week. Not only is it my "Saturday" but I get clean sheets too.
Also, there are two routes I can take to get to work. If I'm not much in the mood to go, I'll take the slightly longer one. Not because it's longer, but because it provides me with an amazing view of the mountains. It instantly makes me happier every time.
I just bought a little diary-type book where there's just enough space for each day to record your happiest moment of the day. I'm noticing how much I love the little things. For instance, I drive down this road to work where I will occasionally see horses running around in the pasture. It makes me so happy to see the little foals. I also love when you can see sunbeams poking out of the clouds. Freshly washed sheets are another major source of joy to me.
