The water is turned off in our building all day for repairs, oh joy. Of course it's on a day when we're both home all day.
We have been debating hanging the tv on the wall to clear up some floor space since it's currently sitting on a table. But what do you do with all of the wires?

DH and I drilled holes in the wall and threaded the wires through the wall to a nearby outlet that was a bit hidden. It's actually pretty ingenious how DH did ours.
We have our tv on the wall. The wires are all twisted into one neat strand and drop down. We are currently looking for a little stand (kind of like a coffee table) to put underneath the tv to hide the wires.
So I almost started a new thread for this, but I'll bury it here to be less obnoxious. I was nominated to do invitations for my SIL's baby shower. Fine, whatever. I didn't volunteer but it's not a big deal. Well, it's two weeks from tomorrow and I just find out that there are 40 MORE people they never gave my names of from their church. Somehow they just assumed I would know I needed to attend their church tomorrow to hand them out. Wtf? Since when do parties work like that. I have already spent $60 printing a ton of invitations, I am spending a fortune mailing them because half their guest list is in Canada (probably another $60-$70 in postage), and now they are pulling this shit on top of it all. I was so angry last night my husband gave me a long massage just to try calming me down. Who has money for this stuff? I wanted to get her a nice gift and now I feel like my whole budget for her is gone. I'm a little bitter since the host of the shower isn't doing anything at all.
jjwritergirl UH UH! No. I'm from old South and I've never been asked to do something like that. What in the world does the hostess think she is doing/not doing?

Someone else I know did something like that too which I thought was cool...but being in a rental, drilling holes in the wall probably isn't a good idea.
jjwritergirl- wow, I have hosted a few baby showers and I have never asked anyone to do something that they didn't volunteer for.
Also my grandma had her tv mounted onto a wall that had the hallway closet close behind it, they drilled holes behind the tv, like pooh8402's H did. The holes go into the hallway closet and she has all of her boxes (cable box, did player, etc) in there as well as the plug in for the tv. She got my uncle to do it for her, he's an electrician. It looks really nice with no table underneath it. (She did have a sensor bar installed right under the tv so her remotes still work)
I am feeling sick still, when will this end?? I might see the doctor tomorrow because this is stupid. Ugh!
I bought new jeans and found out I've gone down another pants size. I'm really frustrated because I haven't been able to gain back any of the weight I lost from my colonoscopy.
I haven't talked to my sister in a while and I'm worried she's feeling down because she hasn't answered my calls and sent very brief responses to texts.
The garbage men didn't take all our trash today for some reason, so back to the garage it goes for another week I guess.
jjwritergirl, That would seriously bother me, to be voluntold to do something without anyone pitching in. I would definitely mention something to the host (maybe others too), something like "So the postage for the invitations was $100, so your contribution is $50. I'll be waiting for it. Thanks."
@moonbeam- DH and I forgot to put the garbage out on the curb the night before pick up like we normally do. We put it out at 8am and I guess they had already come and collected because our bin never got emptied. it's so full. I am not sure what we will do this week. (Pick up is Wednesday's.)

Have you been feeling any better?
No. I'm just trying my best to eat as much as possible when I feel hungry to make up for not being able to eat so much of the time. My next GI appointment isn't until the end of January, so I'm trying to make some dietary changes between now and then because all she told me to do at my last appointment is get more fiber.
So much for starting my ny resolution. This cold is kicking my butt. I literally cannot walk 10 feet without being out of breath. DH was feeling better but now his right shoulder hurts and acting like a baby. If he asks me to do anything I may kill him.
Total AW lol I got so much done today (not everything, but still a lot)
- 3 loads of dishes, washed and put away (How embarrassing to have so many...) - 1 Load of laundry washed, dried, folded and put away - All suitcases unpacked - Living Room/Kitchen totally cleaned and vacuumed - Walked to the bank and back - All Christmas gifts put away - Took the garbage out - Emailed Car Insurance Place - Made dinner - Watched a movie, that I hadn't seen. "Blended" - Highly recommend it - Cleaned the bathroom - Tidied bedroom
katespade I can't remember do you have ibs? If so this website is a really good www.helpforibs.com/ I have used her peppermint tea and her peppermint tablets in the past w good relief. Her book is really good and she has really good tips. Citracel which is a fiber tablet is helpful. I took it w meals for a few years w good results. She tells you what order to eat stuff in to help avoid gi upset too ie start meals w bread. I found it super helpful when I was going through gi issues.
I finally have a free weekend and I feel I should be doing more lol!
I miss you ladies! I have been lurking during feedings but not much time to post lately. Hope y'all are having a wonderful start to 2015!
Aw, miss you too!!!! Hope you are enjoying your baby snuggles!
C snuggles are the best! He loves sleeping on me...trying my best to have him do most of his sleeping in his rock n play but there's usually at least one nap and one nighttime period where he's sleeping on me. Right now we're going with the motto of doing whatever we can to get some sleep!
luv2rn4fun Yes, whatever you can do to get sleep is best at this point! So not looking forward not getting a solid block of sleep for a while, haha. Not that I've had a full night's sleep in a long time, but the feedings every couple hours can't be easy! I hope C isn't as fussy as he was at first and that your recovery is going well!
melsamoony- breastfeeding is so much better now! Unfortunately, C is still not happy about his eviction and is letting us know about it. He literally screamed for the better part of 7 hours straight yesterday from 3:30-10:30 and only would go to sleep on me last night. I'm hoping his pediatrician has some answers on Weds...we've tried gas drops but I don't think they are working.
estrellita- I hear ya...I didn't sleep well after 20 weeks. The sleep deprivation isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, it's the non-stop screaming that I'm having a harder time with (mainly because I wish I knew how to soothe him better).
luv2rn4fun I swear my DS totally second guessed his decision to come out of my belly! I have had a lot of trouble w breastfeeding but have finally been successful after a lot of trial and error. Please PM me if you need help/support. DS was super fussy also so I can relate to that as well.

I do have IBS. Thank you for the website! I always seem to forget about peppermint. I have peppermint tea in my cupboard and never think to drink it when I'm not feeling well. Eating food in a certain order is also an interesting concept. I'm definitely bookmarking her website.
