im thinking Disney for Halloween party sometime in October.
Also I'd like to go see snow for NYE. Thinking about going to Lake Placid. I'd like to stay one the east coast (bc we'd only go Thurs-Sun) and somewhere that is an hour or less drive from an airport. Seems like there is lots to do there, but I'm open to ideas too.
We are going to St. Louis in March for 3 days for our Vacation for the year. We could potentially do a big trip but we are really trying to save some money even if it means we are boring for the year lol. We will probably do some fun day trips though throughout the course of the year
We also have 2 weddings to attend in the fall. One in Canada the other in Iowa.
@emtmissy I REALLY want to go for the food and wine fest! Someday! Speaking of Disney, we want to go to Disneyland (my parents and sister are there now.. grr.. haha) but that will probably be Jan 2016 instead. Baby will be about the same age I was my first time at Disney so I know it's doable, especially since my mom doesn't go on a lot of the rides we wouldn't be able to take him on!
For this year, probably just the usual camping trips. We do a state park one just us (we'll have to decide if we're bringing baby or not.. he would be like 4-5 months old and that doesn't sound like a fun age to bring him, haha) and one with the ILs to the same place every year. That time we might bring baby but we will have grandparents to help I'd love to do a long weekend trip somewhere like Maine, the Pacific NW, or some other place we haven't been, but we will have to see if we have the funds for it. Probably not
Our 5th anniversary is in June. I want to do a short vacation to celebrate, but probably won't be until fall. Guessing we will go local. Looked at some cabins a few hours from here with private deck hot tubs and everything
We always said we'd go somewhere this year for our 5 year married/10 years together. we were invited to go to the Caribbean in November, so we'll do that and just do date night dinner while on that trip. Not sure yet if it will be a cruise or an all inclusive. Of course, if I finally get knocked up, these plans will change because the cruise line requires you be 23 weeks or less.
Nothing is booked yet, but we always go to Jackson Hole in the summer, usually the week of the 4th of July. My parents have a cabin there so it feels like home when we go.
A lot of the rest will depend on if/when I manage to get pregnant. We just can't justify a $$$ vacation when fertility treatments are also $$$.
I'm sure we'll go to Florida at least once since most of my family is there. I'd like to do disney too, but they depends what time of year we end up going.
We'll see my parents a couple times at some point, they're in DC/NOVA.
I really want to go on a big trip this year! H suggested Disney, which I love, but I feel like after we have kids there will be plenty of opportunities to do that. I am hoping that this will be our last big trip before having kids (although, who knows, I thought the cruise we went on in 2013 would be that) and I want to do something that we probably won't have the chance to do again for a long time. I am thinking Europe somewhere, but we'll see, I have a lot of research to do. Also, my parents just bought a vacation home near charleston, SC, so we will also go there hopefully, but that's a smaller scale type of trip (e.g. Driving distance, free place to stay, probably less than a week).

We're going to Phoenix in April since one of my BFFs is getting married. DH & I used to live there and we haven't been back since we left so we're looking forward to getting back to the old stomping grounds. I'm excited to see my best friends whom I don't get to see too often.
Otherwise nothing planned although I'm sure we'll be visiting family (NJ, PA and Chicago) and hopefully my friends in Pittsburgh. Money will probably be tight this year and a lot depends on fertility treatments/possible pregnancy.
I keep saying that if I don't get pregnant this year we are going on a big trip in 2016. We'll see.
travelbug have you ever been to STL? Love it.. I'm partial though since I live here. Let me know if you need recs! I'm a big locavore.
Since baby is coming, we don't have anything too huge planned. Our one plan for sure is going to Bend, Oregon for a week for a wedding/family reunion. He will be 3months. We are renting a house with family so there will be a ton of babysitters! I love bend so I'm excited but nervous for the long flight.
No big plans. We might do a weekend away before the baby gets here, to the San Antonio area. DH will be traveling a lot for work and if he's somewhere interesting in the spring before I have travel restrictions, I'll try to join him.
sarahsas I have only ever driven through St. Louis, never been a tourist there. We are excited. We are only 2 hours away so that's nice also. I'd LOVE recs. The things on my list as of right now are, The Zoo, Arch, The Landing, Botanical Gardens, Seeing a broadway show at the Fox Theatre and the City Museum. I was thinking we would stay at a hotel pretty much downtown. That seemed to be pretty in the middle of everything.
We're going to the Grand Canyon in April with my parents. This is booked and a definite. We've never been so I'm looking forward to it.
We are also hoping to go to Germany in the summer to visit an exchange teacher we hosted last year for a few weeks. She would lodge us and all we need to do is pay for airfare. I feel like we have to do this. Luckily DH agrees!
