I bought You Need A Budget on NYE so I could be better about tracking my spending. I was just adding everything in there for the last few days and we have already almost spent $100 eating out this month. Ugh, there is no excuse for that. Now that DH is back to work I should be able to get back on track for my meal planning/cooking.
DH took down the Christmas decor while I prepared lunches for today. I'm so glad he did all that. I wasn't feeling up to it! (I didn't want to help....and that's my confession. I DID thank him tremendously.)
MrsMB- DH took down all our Christmas decorations too! He did the first part (everything but the tree) when I was at my mom's for a couple hours last week. I told him to keep the tree up for a little while longer...he decided it needed to come down before my friend's DD (17 months old) came over on Thurs, so yesterday was the day. I was supposed to help put the ornaments away but by the time C got done with his feeding it was all done! Super thankful for DH because I definitely did not want to do this during my limited free time (and most of the ornaments are mine from my childhood...the only others are three that are our's and five that are C's). I thanked him as well and made sure we had dinner made and his lunch prepped for today
This week I have an easy work week (every other day off) I could potentially pick up a few shifts but the thought of getting so much done around our place and projects done is to appealing... So I am not going to pick up any other work days...
I want a nap...for real. I'm going to try to get as much stuff done in the next hour. I'm going to take my car to the park by work and lay down the seat. I RARELY take a lunch hour to do this, but I don't see any other way. DH just doesn't sleep very well if he's "had a few beers." I need to get through the rest of the day lol
jjwritergirl - I bought this really amazing shirt on Amazon, and it's long enough that it covers my butt but it's definitely not something I would normally consider long enough to not wear pants with. But I felt like crud on Saturday and just wanted to be comfortable so I went for it and it was amazing.
Alright thought of a sort of a better confession...
We still have to pay for laundry in our apartment, which gets SO expensive... So whenever we go to my parents house (6 hours away) we always bring our laundry and now my MIL got a new washer/dryer we now take our laundry there whenever we go visit (45 minutes away) I don't even feel guilty about it since we are saving so many $$$! Neither one of them pay for water or else I might feel a bit bad.

We do this but not for laundry, we do it for trash and recycling. The house we are renting had been vacant for 10 years. Instead of paying for pickup my IL's said to just bring it to their house (15 min away). We have also done this for water instead of buying gallons at the store. The water at our house is not fit to drink d/t the hard water so we take our 3gal plastic containers to their house to get filtered water. Hopefully we don't have to do the last one anymore because they got us a reverse osmosis filter for Christmas. MIL did say that getting the RO is not an excuse to stop coming to see her, so I guess they don't mind.
travelbug I used to do laundry every time I went to my parents house to avoid paying $3/load (and half the time it wouldn't dry!). My mom even did it half the time because she would get up earlier than me and finish what I had started the night before!
Ok, I have a confession only because this just happened. Just dropped a couple Cheeto crumbs down my shirt and I'm leaving them until I go to the bathroom because I don't want to dig around in my shirt in the lunch room, lol. Oops. Today is just awesome!
I almost feel off the treadmill because I was dancing. I guess the confession part is that I was dancing to Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby. *hangs head in shame*
