This morning: Making it to the gas station! I LOVE our home and where we live, but I have to be really careful about not getting too low on gas. Our neighborhood isn't close to any gas stations. I got distracted on the way home and got SUUUUPER low once I got to the house. Luckily, I made it just fine this morning! WHEW!
Thankful I got to rest a little last night. DH is sick and I think my immune system is fighting whatever is going around so I'm exhausted.
rockinrobyn, I'm so glad y'all were able to get your power back and stay warm. Were you able to find out what caused the outage?
I'm thankful that my pipes didn't freeze. I wrapped the outside ones yesterday and set some faucets to drip, but still. I'm home alone this week and frozen busted pipes were NOT something I wanted to deal with without DH.
pooh8402 Frozen pipes are definitely not fun! Last winter (exactly a year ago to the day, strange) our bathroom pipes froze and burst, and I happened to be standing right there as a cold blast of water exploded out of the wall. It flooded the bathroom and soaked the carpet in our bedroom, causing some water damage in the ceiling of the floor below. Now we let the faucet drip continuously. It's currently -1 F, so cold.
I'm very grateful for indoor heating right now! And warm blankets and hot water....
1. DH and all his help around the house and with C! Love him so much and not sure what I would do without him.
2. C is back to birth weight and we are starting acid reflux meds tonight. Praying they work because the constant screaming is heartbreaking
3. I weighed myself at C's appt yesterday and am down about 20 lbs already...only 12 to go to pre-pg weight but am wanting to drop 17 by the beginning of May.
4. A coworker sent a surprise gift for C- super nice and thoughtful!
5. My mom and stepmom for cooking so many meals for us.
Oh and I'm also thankful that this week M decided to learn how to sleep! Out of no where he takes solo naps on a schedule. He goes to bed at night and puts himself to sleep. He also has only been getting up 2-3 times in 12 hours as opposed the the former 6x. It's amazing. I am rested and my house is finally getting slowly cleaned. 6 months old was a huge turning point.
Yay!!! Way to go M!
Also, thank you so much for this...there's hope that C might sleep someday too! Thankfully he's ok at night (although it's hit or miss if his sleeping is on me or in his RNP...on me does me no good) but he's horrible during the day- he doesn't want to miss anything and fights so badly to go to sleep.

I'm thankful that the pipes didn't burst and we had running water this morning. I'm grateful that that LO (knock on my wooden Head) hasn't been sick so far this winter. Thankful that even though my mil isn't giving cigs up for her health, she says that she's going to give them up because of the cost.

Not entirely sure. They said a static pole was out, but I am not sure what that means. It took longer than expected to fix it because they needed to get clearance to do it, then because it was so cold it took longer because switches and buttons were frozen. Plus I am sure those men were taking a lot of breaks to stay warm.

I'm thankful that DH works right down the block from the medical complex where our doctors are - he was able to go in with me this morning to get checked in for the appt, and then when I was done I was able to meet up with him to tell him everything instead of doing it over the phone or waiting until he got home.
I'm thankful my mom got me a pair of Sorel boots for the winter to keep my feet nice and warm
I'm thankful that DH hasn't said anything about the messy house we live in. Being sick/exhausted for a month now and I've been really slacking. DH was also been helping with more house stuff then he normally does.
I'm thankful for friends that love me and help us when we need it.
