A friend got married Friday night. Her DJ died of a heart attack shortly after leaving the reception. And during the ceremony/reception her ID, credit & debit card, cash and diamond earrings were stolen from her bridal suite.
I thought having rain on my wedding day was bad enough.
Oh, how awful! What horrible memories to associate with your wedding. I hope they have a kickass honeymoon planned to help them forget about the crap.
We were at a wedding where the room the bridal party put their stuff in was robbed. We all lost a ton of cash and one girls entire purse was stolen, including her brand new camera.
Awful. I hope she creates a bit of a stink about the items missing from her suite. That's probably an inside job.
The guy who made our cake died shortly after our wedding. We got the message about it while we were on our HM. We didn't even have a chance to thank him properly for the wonderful cake and the payment never even was deposited. We had to reach out to his family to try to send payment which we ended up sending to the charity of his choice. So sad to think that we were probably the last cake he ever made.

How sad, and awful for everyone!
My BFFs Grandmother had a stroke during BFFs wedding..like during the ceremony or on the drive to the reception site - they noticed something was wrong when they were pulling into the reception venue - it was horrible.
It's so terrible when things like this happen. My friend had her ceremony and reception in her parents' backyard. The DJ and bartender they hired were husband and wife. Just after dinner the wife collapsed behind the bar - not breathing, no pulse. Luckily my friend is a medical receptionist and the doctor she worked for was there. He did CPR for 30 minutes while waiting for an ambulance. The woman's husband stood over her screaming that entire time.
It was horrifying. The only silver lining is that she lived and as far as I know is doing fine years later. Most people left soon after but those that stayed got really, really drunk. My friend still says she should get a do-over.
