Driving this morning and a truck cut me off. I muttered "fucking jerk" and honked my horn. A asked what I was doing, I said it was a naughty car, and then silence. And then, "fucking..."
I'm praying she forgets but I know it's not likely. I've been so good about not swearing, especially in the car. Ughhhh.
LOL. This is how my sister and I learned our first swear word. We were in the car with Mom and she got cut off, forgot we were in the car and said "Shit!". She remembered we were with her when she heard "Shit shit shit!" from the back seat.
I didn't realize how much I swore when driving until I had my DD. I feel your pain, but you can't be held responsible for what happens when some asshole cuts you off! It's practically a reflex!
Boyfriend got sent home early from a summer day camp because he was saying fucking and teaching the other kids when to use it. I can't say if that was my child I would have been too upset.
If it makes you feel any better motzie, my friend had her 2 girls in the backseat for a trip to the grocery store. She honked at someone in the parking lot, and the 3 year old piped up and yelled "Get out of the fucking lane, asshole!".
Clearly you're not alone. However, as far as her "forgetting" - if she uses the word, what I would do is say to DS "Honey- I was wrong to use that word. It's a bad word and it's especially bad for kids to use. I don't want to hear you say it again" - all in a lighthearted approach.
