I was exhausted Friday night and ended up sleeping more than 12 hours. H woke me up about 10:30 asking me where our account number for the cable was because the cable AND Internet were out and he needed to call tech support. That got me out of bed pretty fast, lol. Turns out, an entire hub had been destroyed. It took them almost 24 hours to fix it.
No TV... No Internet... 24 hours...
We vacuumed (again, but this time we moved all the furniture to vacuum every square inch of carpet...because we had time so why not). We dusted. We put away the Christmas tree and ornaments. We decluttered (although we've still got a ways to go IMO). We both ranted and cursed about the lack of cable because we knew we were missing some good EPL soccer games (not to mention the NFL playoffs). We were both getting pretty twitchy by the end of the day.
This morning - Service is back! I can pretty much guarantee that the only thing we will do today is cook dinner.
H and I cut satellite a little over a year ago. It took some getting use to. And buying a shit ton of movies.
Glad your cable is back.
It was funny yesterday... The number of times I pointed out to H that he was frustrated with not having access to TV/Internet vs. the number of times we've talked about ditching cable. (I've always been in favor of keeping cable or at least getting Roku or Amazon Fire or something.) We ended up watching three DVDs from his old collection to pass the time.
We took one of my girlfriends to a drag show last night to celebrate her birthday. It was so awesome! I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard. The downside is I didn't go to bed until 3am. Needless to say, church did not happen.

It finally warmed up enough to be outside. DD and I went sledding and had a great time. I think I'll do a little cleaning now before making dinner. This weekend was so relaxing. I was actually bored yesterday and I can't remember the last time that happened!

Today was a nice, quiet day. I did some window shopping and a little actual shopping, had brunch with my family and then went off on my own for the rest of the afternoon. It was overcast and relatively warm (45 or so) so I spent some time downtown walking along the boardwalk and marina. It was just nice to stroll along and let my mind wander. My last stop was to buy myself a proper journal to start writing in again. I've been feeling very reflective lately and decided it would be nice to write it all down.
