I'm a Project Accountant. (or as I refer to myself quite often, a "bean-counter")
Basically just monitoring and documenting project budgets, along with reconciling and audit support for monthly accounting records. Meeting with Project Managers to assist with cost forecasts to ensure the project is bringing in it's expected revenue margin and not going over-budget, etc.
Pretty boring stuff, but it's steady, I'm fairly good at it, and it's interesting to see all the different projects & clients my company works for.
I work Monday - Wednesday at my husbands law firm. I am the office manager, paralegal, etc.
I own a Spinning/fitness studio full time and teach anywhere between 7-12 classes per week along with the daily tasks. I do it all myself for the most part. Payroll, training, marketing, accounts payable and receivable, ordering, etc.

Overall, I manage the donor database at a university. This includes ensuring data is entered consistently, using the data to provide guest lists and mailing lists, various other. Soon I'll be making sure that our fundraisers are making frequent donor visits. Also, when my promotion goes through, I'll supervise an office of three which currently includes the person who deposits gifts and I will hire two new people when the hiring freeze is lifted.

I'm a product marketing manager I follow trends through competitor analysis and come up with new products to add to the line. Working with the engineers I help develop/design products based on where I need to be for retail, what components I want etc... I develop the copy and direct the graphics designer on packaging creation. I also with with another engineer to develop the shape/style of retail package I want. I follow the product through it's product life-cycle and revise, eliminate as necessary I write business strategies, competitive analysis strategies, brand strategies, etc as needed.
And we can add a sometimes model too. I just had to shoot a video showing how a product worked, which will be uploaded to the web.

According to our firm, I am the receptionist for an investment banking firm, that handles mergers and acquisitions of government contractors.
In reality? I do the AR/AP for our entire capital markets division (three offices, ours being the smallest platform) (M&A's, equity, and debt transactions). I will for a large bank and do everything accounting related for companies, so we can get paid on transactions that we handle. I also do expense reports and travel for the people in my actual office.
I started as the operations manager for the firm and our funds. I'm now also the research analyst, business manager, and receptionist (in that I answer the phone, lol). I'm the main point of contact for our TPA, so I review and approve valuations, transactions, financial statements, etc for the Funds. I run data analysis on subfunds and review/discuss with my real boss. When he makes an investment decision, I make sure the investment gets made and monitor the entire portfolio. I also handle all HR, bookkeeping, IT, etc for the (tiny) firm.
Basically I set up plans and bills for group insurance policies. Except currently I am working on revising policies, which is a huge pain in the ass, but it is busy, so it makes the day go fast!
My title is Supervisor of Financial Reporting, in reality I babysit a bunch of accountants. I kid, I kid; today was stressful and I have zero patience for whatever reason (LOL).
Basically, I manage the quarterly close, which includes reviewing everyone's analysis (ratio analysis, account reconciliations, variance commentaries, footnotes), approve journal entries, make sure we meet all of the COrporate deadlines, assist with preparing SEC filings and statutory reporting (which are specifc to insurance companies).

I'm a Records Management Tech, also cross trained as an Accounting Tech. Most of the time I'm behind the scenes, scanning and sorting a ton of documents, filing things away and doing data entry. Part of my day I see clients one-on-one, issuing EBT cards for their food and bill assistance, taking payments for child support and fraud.
Part time I work retail, fitting room and cash handling. It means late nights, plenty of human interaction and lots of folding clothes so I guess it's good I don't mind laundry. The people thing is overwhelming to me, but it's not the worst.

I'm a Consulting Arborist. People hire me to plant trees, prune hedges, diagnose plant problems, appraise trees, speak to groups, and to make recommendations about landscape design, vegetative management, and hazard abatement. I write a lot of long, boring tree reports.
