My aunt texted me last night "text [my grandmother] your address." That's it. I know my grandmother still has my Christmas gift, I wasn't able to see her for the holiday, and she wants to send it to me. But why not ask me herself, she has my number. Or ask my mother, who I know has my address? Why go through my aunt?
I don't know if I'm just hormonal or if my aunt is in BEC territory right now (she kinda is) but this rubbed me the wrong way.
I could see a situation in my family where my GM said to someone that she needed to send me something and then that certain someone else wrongfully assume she needed my address...and text me. If this had happened to me, that's what I would assume happened.
I'm actually pretty sure my grandmother genuinely needs my address. I can't recall that she had mailed me anything in the past year and a half I've been in this house.
