If you've had multiple pregnancies, how did they compare? Also, if you've had babies of different sexes, did you notice a big difference?
I'm pregnant with baby #2. (I voted secret pregnant in that poll). I'm almost 9 weeks and feeling like total shit. Not vomiting but nauseous on and off all day. I had my first dr appt today and was prescribed Diclegis, so hopefully that helps. When I was pregnant with DS, I had pretty much no symptoms so this is a rude awakening for me. I seriously told people I understood how women could be on I Didn't Know I was Pregnant, because I felt totally fine. (Ok once I started showing that was different). So I am eating my words this time around!
Anyway, for those that are interested, I'll share a little more... With DS it took us a year of trying and then the first attempt at IUI worked. I got a Mirena IUD soon after birth. I had it removed in October, waited until I got my first period before we started trying (at my dr's advice) and amazingly got pregnant the first month of trying. I thought I was pregnant before testing because I felt like crap. So we are very excited but still nervous.
Anyway, just curious about other experiences. And if anyone has taken Diclegis, please share! I will take the first dose tonight and I have high hopes.
I'm having my second boy. My second pregnancy has been harder than the first. I puked this time whereas with C I was just nauseous, more tailbone and pubic bone pain, more exhaustion. It's hard to tell if it was because the pregnancies were different, or just because symptoms were amplified because I don't have time to rest and whatnot while running around after a toddler.
I took Diclegis until 20 - 22 weeks this time. It helped a lot. I was a zombie for the first few days, but it's better once you adjust.
I was sick a lot longer with this one, and looked pregnant a lot sooner (I feel so much bigger, even though my weight is about the same), my back hurts more (I have pre-existing back problems) and am in general a lot more miserable. I think it has a lot to do with also chasing after a 30-lb toddler all the time.
I was Team Green with both, but felt the same way in the second pg as I did in the first, so figured I was having a boy again.
DS1, 16 mo TTC. Laporascopic surgery to get rid of some endo; acupuncture. Okay pregnancy but dealt with some nausea the entire time (took diclectin for it), and rib and pubic bone pain at the end. Induced at 41.5 weeks but ended with c/s after fetal distress
DS2, 2 mo TTC. Nausea all the way through (took diclectin again), and rib and pubic bone pain BAD starting around 20 weeks. I developed cholestaysis at the end, so we opted for a repeat c/s on my due date rather than risk it to wait on a VBAC.

#1. Girl. M/c at 10w. Sick the whole time- even still puking after the baby had passed.
#2 and 3: girl, boy. Pretty much the same. No puking. Extreme 1st tri exhaustion (5pm bedtime with DD. Lots for tv time for DD when pg with DS.) more aches and pains with DS, but I attribute to running around with a crazy toddler. PTL both times around 32-33w. Got terbutaline(?) shot both times, and went FT. DD was 40w4d, DS 40w1d.
My pregnancies were pretty similar. Except for a crazy strange complication with DD2 in the second tri, I felt great for both, gained the same amount of weight. I didn't get the early first tri acne the second time around.
DD1 was 2 weeks early, DD2 was induced at 40w4d and weighed half a pound more and was 2" longer.
My first pregnancy was much rougher. Constant nausea in the first tri, horrible swelling my entire pregnancy, reflux that made me throw up most nights from week 15-35, etc. My second pregnancy was so much easier-no morning sickness, no swelling, manageable reflux. I had 2 girls.
I was really sick from weeks 10-17 with dd1. Had major carb cravings all along.
With dd2, I mostly felt okay until sciatic nerve pain set in around week 32. I couldn't drink hot coffee, just iced during first tri. I craved burritos like crazy.
This time, I've been really queasy all along. I have no interest in coffee or sweets, so I feel like I should be losing weight or something. I love coffee and sweets usually!
This is my second pregnancy and I'm 11 weeks but feel so much better than my first. I feel like how you described with your first pregnancy. I didn't find out until I was 6.5 weeks pregnant because I thought spotting for 2 days was a period.
My first pregnancy I had such bad food aversions and nausea from weeks 5-9. I didn't eat anything but crackers with peanut butter and packaged Lipton soup.
My pregnancies couldn't have been more different and they were the same sex. I had ms with vomiting until 22w with DS1. Nothing except a little nausea in first tri with DS2. We were team green both times so it was fun trying to figure out what we were having

Congratulations! I have 2 boys but my pregnancies were very different. The first I had lots of food aversions and if I wasn't at work I was sleeping.
My second I had no fatigue and was hungry all the time. I was sure it was a girl because the first tri was night and day compared to my first pregnancy.
Their appetites haven't changed since they were in utero. DS1 is still a picky eater and DS2 still wants to eat all the time.
Thanks for all the responses. It's comforting to read this. And I'm liking all the posts for your feedback, not because I like the unpleasant stuff (just to be clear).
ryry - I have zero taste for coffee and usually I have 3 cups per day!
I've been eating lots of toast and soup. I can't really even stomach ginger ale. But trying to drink lots of water.
Baby 1: very sick (would take a sip of water and throw it up), had to be on something until I was 20 weeks to keep food down. Constipated, lots of terrible leg cramps almost every night, bloody noses, PUPPS after birth, occasional heartburn.
Baby 2: I felt nauseous one day but never threw up. No other symptoms. I was terrified I would go to my first appointment at twelve weeks and they would say I was having a hysterical pregnancy. I was convinced I wasn't really pregnant just testing pregnant somehow. I had pelvic girdle pain toward the end but that was the only thing. Wasn't constipated ever, no nose bleeds, never had a leg cramp.
DS1: surprise pregnancy, severe exhaustion during first tri, then I hardly knew I was pregnant until 36 weeks when I got very uncomfortable. Long, hard, somewhat traumatic birth.
DS2: TTC for 10 months, pubic symphysis dysfunction beginning in first tri. Gained more weight and was more uncomfortable at the end.
D?3: sort-of surprise, feeling great so far. Fingers crossed it continues.
First pregnancy seemed normal. We got pregnant the first month. I had some mild morning sickness. Insomnia was terrible throughout the pregnancy. I was pregnant in the hottest summer. I swelled up pretty bad. Really no pain. I had D 2.5 weeks early due to my water breaking. My blood pressure was crazy high.
This pregnancy took a few months. I had to chart and use opks to figure out my cycle. After I figured it out, we got pregnant that months. So far, I don't have any morning sickness. Some cramping and sore boobs. I had red blood followed by a week of spotting, so they put me on progesterone to up my levels. If I hadn't tested, I wouldn't have know I was pregnant.

DS1: extreme hunger, I would wake in the MOTN starving. No M/S, no heartburn, just hunger. And dairy, I craved dairy.
DS2: nausea throughout first tri, but I only threw up about once a week until week 13. No real changed in appetite, I craved sweets. Horrible, horrible heartburn from 18 weeks onwards.
My pregnancies were all almost identical; mine are girl, girl, boy. We were team green with our third, and I tried not to put too much stock into how similar that pregnancy was to my previous ones, but apparently I couldn't help myself because I was so, so shocked when I saw he was a boy.

Congrats!
1st pregnancy: boy. Nauseated and vomited once a day till the day he was born. SI joint pain and sweets aversions. Napped whenever I could.
2nd: girl. Nausea but less vomiting. Significant gastric reflux which resulted in less weight gain, some wt loss towards the end.
3rd: girl. Mild-moderate nausea throughout, only vomited maybe 8-10 times. Reflux was worse but no significant joint pain (aside from exercise-induced). Able to run for most of the pregnancy.
Honestly, my symptoms were lesser and better tolerated with each pregnancy.

Congratulations!
I have 2 boys and my pregnancies were very similar but everything was about 20% worse with the second. I was also much bigger the second time, but DS2 was 1.5 lbs bigger than DS1.
DD1 I was only sick until about 13 weeks. I was tired all the time. Craved sweet foods.
DS I was not sick at all. I don't have as many uncomfortable symptoms. I "knew" he was a boy.
DD2 I was ridiculously sick. Threw up multiple times a day every single day of the pregnancy. The only time I felt better was when I was sleeping. I could eat at midnight so I cooked me food every night just to keep something down.
DD3 I knew she was a girl because I was sick again. I am older and the hip and back pain was way more debilitating. I was also exhausted every minute of that pregnancy.

Congratulations!
Until the end, I felt pretty good through most of my pregnancy with DS. My a/s in on Friday, so we don't know what we're having yet, but this pregnancy I've definitely "felt pregnant". Nauseous and food aversions but hungry all the time, tired, heartburn. I hope the meds work well for you and that you feel better the rest of your pregnancy!
I had kidney stones with all four, gained very little weight, and carried them all the same (they were all breech and very high), no heartburn.
With the girls I had horrible m/s from 6 weeks until I gave birth. I had to take Zofran around the clock and still puked quite a bit. DD2 we were team green but I was sure she was a girl. I got the girl nursery ready and packed girl clothes for the hospital. Before our u/s with DD3 I told DH she was a girl since I had the same m/s as the other girls.
