I was walking home from daycare with DD in the k'tan earlier this week; it was about 40 degrees out and she was wearing a coat, hat, and shoes. Some woman rolled down the window of her car and shouted at me "put a blanket on that baby!"
How weird your pediatrician insists on seeing his patients outdoors.
I had a February baby in the Midwest so he had to go out in the freezing cold for all his first doctor appointments. Not much we can do about that. I would probably reschedule with a tiny baby if it was -20 but 33 degrees is not that cold.
Maybe this person just moved there from Hawaii. My cousin lives there and is ruined. She posts screenshots of her weather app saying 68 degrees and complaining how cold it is, she needed a hoodie and the kids couldn't play outside. Bitch, please.
He was wearing Zutano fleece booties over his footed pajamas and was wearing a hat. If anything his feet.were too warm so she had absolutely nothing to criticize.

Haha, what?! Was it an old lady? Sounds like an old lady comment.
I took DS to well checks last year, as a newborn, in much colder temperatures because, you know, it's cold. Do pediatrician offices shut down when the temperature drops below freezing?
Wait, what? I can't tell if this is serious or joking. Is -66 a thing?? Do you live at the North Pole?!
For real. With wind chill though! I live in northern MN, near Canada, so basically with Santa Claus.
LOL. I hear you. When I went in for my induction with DS it had snowed and snowed and snowed the night before and the next morning was godawful freezing with windchills in the -40s. It was a rough drive but obviously fine once we got there.
Two days later when we took DS home it was 1. The world was rejoicing about the start of the winter warm up.
I live in the polar opposite corner of the same state as you. Where the wind blows constantly.
Ironically the week DD was born in July it was the start of 3 weeks of 100 heat indexes every other day. Hottest summer ever.
DH now says I need to plan for a September baby...you know the one month here where the temperature is usually decent.
Lol. We brought E home from the hospital when it was -66.
Shut the f up! My brain can't imagine that temperature. I'm cold (like not wanting to venture outside the house) at 66* .
I don't understand this about Southern Californians. DD1's school puts the extra school jacket on her if we send her to school without a jacket and it is below, like, 70. It actually makes me sort of mad. TEMPS IN THE 60s AREN'T COLD.
In 10 years I realize I will be singing a different tune if I still live here. My fortitude from my years in Chicago is definitely gone. I remember when I used to think 33 was a warm day.

In 2 years I realize I will be singing a different tune if I still live here. My fortitude from my years in Chicago is definitely gone. I remember when I used to think 33 was a warm day.
