nessness, we only bathe M every day due to his eczema. Pedi said that Aquaphor is more effective after a bath, so we give him a cursory dip every night as part of the bedtime routine. Otherwise it would probably be 2-3x/week.
Did anyone successfully discourage finger sucking? DD2 is 9 weeks and I really would rather her take the paci, but she is determined to get her fingers in there too.
1. I had to Google 2-3-4, but DS #2 started doing it naturally around 6 months or so.
2. Finger sucking is way better than the paci! They can't lose fingers in the crib or the carseat. DS #1 sucked his thumb and slept WAY better than DS #2, who doesn't suck on anything despite my best efforts.
Ditto the finger sucking. My life has been so much better since M started sucking his thumb! LOL
luv2rn4fun SO was not much help when K was really little so I pretty much did everything. Sometimes in MOTN if I couldn't get her back to sleep in a reasonable amount of time I'd wake him up to take a turn but it was mostly me. I remember one day he came home from work and was all in a rush to mow the lawn, but by the time he got done she was in bed for the night. I asked him if he realized he hadn't so much as touched her all day. After that he was better about at least holding her for a little while every day. He got really frustrated because he didn't know why she was crying and what to do about it. When she got a little older, like 3-4 months, he was more comfortable around her and more confident that he could soothe her. He helps out much more now.
