H and I enjoyed serial, not really because of the content so much, but I think because it gave us something new to talk about/debate. He got into it so much he bought a thing to mount his phone in the car for our commute, lol. We tried some other podcasts, but nothing has stuck so far. Any recommendations?
by the way, in case anyone is curious, i'm team jay. i believe jay, especially after his interviews that were released a few week sago. before the interviews, i was believing it was a random serial killer.
I really enjoyed it too! I haven't tried 99% invisible yet, but my H loves that and he really enjoyed Serial. The other podcast you might enjoy is This American Life, the episode called Dr Gilmer and Mr Hyde

jennlin jay just drives me crazy though! he might not be guilty, but he changed his story so many times and his 'testimony' is what convicted Adnan, even though he can't keep it straight.
I mean, overall I have no idea who did it and I'm not convinced Adnan is innocent, BUT if I was a juror and had to say beyond reasonable doubt, I don't think I could have convicted him.

cool thanks, I'll look those up and send it to H to put on his phone

beyond reasonable doubt? absolutely not. there was not enough evidence to put adnan away for life. do i think he did it? it's very probable, but i can't say without reasonable doubt.
jennlin - I've totally fallen down the Serial rabbit hole... it is so interesting to me. I agree 100% with you - not enough evidence to convict, though he likely is still guilty, as is Jay.

This.
Check out Death Sex & Money. It's short - about 30 minutes a week - and brings to light a lot of beautiful, individual stories related to one (or more) of those three topics.
I'm also a sucker for pretty much any of the Slate podcasts, especially the Culture Gabfest, Double X Gabfest, and Mom & Dad Are Fighting.

jennlin I don't know, I think it makes me more annoyed with Jay. I feel bad that this has clearly turned his life upside down, that's not debatable.
His story of the events that he tells here all seem believable, so maybe it's all true...
But his whole "Sarah ruined my life and told reddit my personal info" is BS. I mean, her emails are pretty clear and she sounds like a real reporter who did a great job trying to show as many sides to this story as she could. He refused to tell his side... and now he wants to? I honestly don't think she did anything to make Jay look bad, or out to get him.
