My girls (5 and almost 2) at the time both had it in december 2013. They both went on Augmentin and it cleared up. What I didn't know at the time was that an allergic reaction to Augmentin can take up to two weeks to show itself, and DD2 developed one. So we had to stop the medicine and the pneumonia came right back. Had to try another med, and it worked just fine. Overall, not a big deal, but it was a very stressful (and expensive) situation. Oh, and I got it too. Good times!

DS had pneumonia when he was 14 months. He was pretty lethargic and miserable before we started meds. We were advised to keep him out of daycare for a week. He was quite a bit better after that, but wasn't back to 100% for about 3 weeks. While it was tough to see him so sick, he really did start to improve once diagnosed and medicated. Hope your little guy feels better soon!
