What is everyone doing this weekend? Tomorrow night is DH's holiday party. It's always very swanky and is at a really fun location in downtown Chicago. We got a hotel room and I'm going early to sprawl out on the king bed and get ready there. Then Saturday, we are doing brunch followed by spa services at Trump (IL's Christmas gift to us).
This will be the first time we have both been away from J for a night. I'm SO EXCITED!
We are going to SC to visit my parents. We were supposed to go over Christmas break, but then we all got the flu. The kids have off tomorrow, Mon, and Tues, so this worked out well for us. I'm so ready to get away for a few days! It will be upper 50's which will feel like a damn heat wave. I should probably be packing those flip flops and shorts right now.
Saturday we are going to the aquarium. Then we also have to install the girls' new carseats and set up J's new bed. I'm also planning to do some baking and party planning for the girls birthday.
It is going to be in the 50s here, so freaking excited! We are going to a nature center and park with my dad and a friend of mine from childhood and her son. Then in the evening we are going out for dinner and a movie. It is Restaurant Week so we are trying a new place, then we'll see Selma.
Our close friends had micro-preemie twins back in September. They lost their little girl the first week and have and an uphill road with their son. He's had numerous surgeries to adjust a shunt recently but he's finally about ready to come home. This weekend is her baby shower since she hadn't had one before the babies were born. I can't wait to celebrate this little boy and our friends.

Tentative plans so far. We have a long weekend because of MLK Day. I am having dinner with girlfriends on Monday night. I'm sure we'll watch football. I'd like to do some organizing around the house too and maybe we'll catch up with some people who may not have plans either and get together or something.
Saturday we have 6-month pictures and Sunday evening I'm meeting friends for a birthday dinner. Out of my friend group here, all but one of us were born within a 4 week block. This includes my husband. January is going to kill my budget.
Monday is DS's first day at daycare, so H and I are going to clean out our home office, then go out to lunch and a movie.
H and I are tag-teaming parenting on Saturday. I'm going to handle C in the morning while he does stuff, then he's going to handle him in the afternoon while I get a pedicure, haircut, and brow wax.
Sunday will just be normal church, maybe brunch. I have a GNO/meeting in the evening, so that will be fun.
Monday C is going to daycare and we have off! We are plotting what we're going to do. I'm thinking probably sleep in, fancy brunch, and then I have a massage scheduled.
dancingirl21, that sounds so fun. DH's company did a "sandwich ring in the conference room" type thing this year instead of a swanky fancy spouses too affair like they've done in the past; I was pretty disappointed.
There's not much on the agenda this weekend. DD2 has just gotten sick so we'll probably be riding that out for awhile. I am trying to convince DD1 to go see Paddington with me, but I'm not sure she wants to go. DH and I will probably continue our binge of Homeland.
Friday - speech therapy, playdate, errands Saturday - birthday party during naptime a couple towns away Sunday - church, therapy, and cousins over for dinner Monday - some type of family outing, need to figure that out
Ours is next w/e, so DH and DS will be doing some building this w/e. I have no idea what to expect, but wasn't counting on an all day event. Huh. Guess I should ask at our meeting tonight!

Oh I have Corbin from 8-12 for Cub Scouts and then Eleanor from 1-4 for Girl Scouts. The girls rent the track from the boys so they do it on the same day since it is already set up. Depending on the size of your pack I would guess a half day event or less.

Oh good! We have a beer tasting later in the afternoon I was worried about missing.

Saturday I'm doing Zumba in the morning then a neighborhood party at night... Pretty excited about that. Sunday, I'm going to a children's museum with one of my dd's friends from school and her mom. Hopefully nothing on Monday.
Saturday evening my aunt is coming in to surprise my mom. My mom, sister, aunt and I will all go out to eat and then to a comedy club afterwards. It should be fun.
Sunday morning we have DD's pictures. I'm bummed her play room isn't more put together with wall art and stuff but I know the pictures will be fine anyway. I'm just hoping she smiles and doesn't get in one of those moods where when she sees the camera she decides not to do anything.
ETA: DH has Monday off but DD will go to daycare. I work on Monday. We have staff development. It's okay though because I have President's Day off and DH doesn't and DD will go to daycare that day so that will be my alone day.

This weekend should be fun. I'm going to a friend's for game night tonight, so pretend that the weekend starts today. Tomorrow is my a/s, then out to dinner for a baby shower/celebration for a friends 2nd son. I have an appt for a haircut and pedi Sat morning (and brow wax-I need it bad!) then a birthday party Sat evening for our friend's 3 yo. They are night owls, so we always end up staying over way past bedtime. There will probably be some napping going on too.
Having friends over for a casual dinner with kids tomorrow night. Three basketball games on Saturday (2 for DS2, 1 for DS1). Friends bday party/game night Saturday night. Bday dinner out with my brother and SIL Sunday night at a fun new restaurant. Lunch out with DS1's BFFs and their moms on Monday.
Fri- dinner with some friends Sat- hair appt, going to help a new triplet mom with her cuties, then dropping the kids at my parents for their first overnight at their house-cant wait! DH and me will go to dinner and a movie Sun - sleeping in, breakfast out? and pick up the kids at some point
