Hello MM Moms! I've been lurking for a while but wanted to introduce myself. I'm expecting baby #1 (a boy) at the beginning of June. I had the anatomy ultrasound today and found out I have placenta previa. Did anyone else here have this? If so, did your placenta cooperate and move out of the way in time for you to deliver vaginally, or did you require a C-section?
A little more about me- my DH and I have been married almost 2 years (second marriage for both of us), and he has a 10-year old DD from his previous marriage. Any other blended families here?
I had CPP at my 20 week scan. It was all gone by my 28 week scan. It can move. I was able to deliver vaginally. Just follow the instructions..keep off your feet as much as you can and no sex. It sucks but I really think this helped me not have a bleed from the CPP.
Welcome! I had placenta previa that eventually moved by about 30 weeks. On the plus side, I had a few more Ultrasounds than normal so I got to see the baby often (silver lining and all).

Welcome and congrats on your boy! I had it with DS and I did require a c/s because of it. I didn't have much bleeding and never had bed rest, so while it wasn't awesome to have, I realize it could have been worse. I'm probably going to offend a lot of people in this post, but hearing that "it will most likely move" became my personal version of "You're still pregnant!?" or "Are you sure there aren't two in there?" So be prepared for that, lol!

I had that all the way through and yes it did eventually "move" out of the way. I delivered vaginally and had no issues. The only bummer for me was that I didnt' get to feel the baby move for a long time as the placenta was acting as a sort of "punching" bag absorbing the shock of his movements.
Hi there! I had CPP and it never resolved. The day I gave birth (via c-section) was in part due to complications from it (in addition to pre-e). Let me know if you have any questions regarding it. That said, something like 95% of previas clear out of the way in time so odds are totally in your favor. FX that it resolves for you and you do not experience any of the complications that come with it!

Welcome and congrats!
I have no idea on the previa question, but wanted to say there are a few stepmoms here. I have two step-daughters, 10 and 8 that we have every other week.
I had complete placenta previa. I was put on pelvic rest and could not exercise starting at 20 weeks. I had a follow up ultrasound at 32 weeks and it had not resolved itseld. I had another follow up ultrasound at 36 weeks and it was still there. I had a c-section scheduled for 37 weeks. One morning (at 36w3d) I went to the bathroom and noticed bleeding. I called my doctor right then and went to the hospital. They decided to go ahead and do a c-section that day. My son was born healthy, with no NICU time weighing 6 lbs 7 oz.
I did not have to go on bedrest at all.
Even if it does not resolve itself your doctors know what they are doing and you are in great hands. I'm sure you know that if you have any spotting to call right away.

I had pp until about 28 weeks, with spotting the whole time but no major bleeds. When I started spotting they put me on pelvic rest and no heavy lifting, which I followed, but I don't know that it really made a difference since I didn't stop spotting until around the time it resolved.
Here's a great article about pp and the likelihood that it will resolve before you give birth

Hi! I had marginal previa and it did not resolve itself, so I had a c/s. I never had bleeding and never required bed rest. Fingers crossed your placenta gets moving!
I had a CPP that never resolved, but as someone else mentioned, most of them do. I had a bleeding episode at 31 weeks that progressed to pre-term labor. Stopped labor with magnesium treatment, and was in the hospital on bed rest for a week. I had another bleed at 33 weeks and delivered the baby via c-section 40 minutes after getting to the hospital. I had 2 units of blood transfused and he was in the NICU for a month. Small, and a slow eater, but otherwise healthy.
Good luck!
ETA - I was on pelvic rest nearly the whole pregnancy, and "modified" light activity from about 26 weeks on.
