Finally! I'm so glad to get a break from all these shots. Triggering tonight for 9am retrieval on Saturday! Any tips/tricks/advice for the retrieval or 2WW?
Also now I am scrambling for childcare!
Update 1: bloodwork from morning after trigger showed low progesterone so they had me come in for a second trigger - ovidrel. First trigger was Lupron.
Update 2: Out of 8 retrieved, only 3 had eggs in them. Trying to be hopeful but I'm really disappointed. We're doing ICSI so hopefully that boosts our chances. We'll get the fert report tomorrow sometime and should know if we're doing 3 or 5 day transfer then too.
The actual procedure was no big deal and I feel totally fine except that I'm exhausted.
Update 3: 2 of the 3 fertilized. We'll do a 3 day transfer on Tuesday.
Yay. Very exciting. I loved the first week of the 2 WW. No shots, no early morning appointments and it was too early to worry about possible signs of PG.
Good luck! For the retrieval, I would bring really warm clothes to go home in. I was shivering after mine. I think it was a combo of the surgery room being cold and the IV. Also, if you get nauseated from anesthesia the CRNA can give you anti-nausea medication through the IV. I agree with bronxgirl about the first half of the 2ww (although I did PIO so I was still doing shots . The second half sucks. Distract yourself as much as possible. I hope you can figure out child care.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

We had a 4-cell with about 20% defragmentation and a 5-cell with about 10% defrag. Apparently under 15% is ideal. They recommended putting both back in so we did.
The actual procedure was less painful than some of my IUIs were. We got to see the embryos on the screen beforehand and then saw them get sucked up by the "embryo vac" (catheter) and could see them being placed in my uterus. Pretty cool!
Supposedly we're at about a 45% success rate with about 10% chance of twins. I'll schedule a beta for next Friday. Thanks for the good wishes!
