Guess I was all worked up over nothing. C slept great in her crib last night. Went down no problem and only one wake up! That's better than normal. I think the sleep suit was key, even though she looks like the Michelin man.
My younger dd spiked a 103 fever overnight. I know fevers are usually not an indicator of anything too bad, she's acting normally, etc. but I wish I could be home with her today. Unfortunately, it's my busiest day of the week (I see all my classes plus Girl Scouts this afternoon) and I was home with her yesterday. I know she's fine with MH but I'm feeling guilty. And I don't usually do mama guilt.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Apparently the answer to random weeping is always molars. A, who is five and two months, went to the dentist yesterday, and her bottom six year molars are half way through. No wonder she has been sad lately.
I didn't know they get six year molars. She has always gotten her teeth early, and it has always surprised us.
I'm tired and the kids all have colds. I can hear them all downstairs crying and whining while I'm working upstairs. I would rather just snuggle my kids in bed.

Do you think these pirate singing guys on the disney channel chose singing pirate songs dressed like goons as their life path, or did they fall into it? Are they happy with where they are right now?
Waiting until DD wakes up to see if she's feeling better. She had 99 temp before bed, ate some dinner but not her usual amount, and was fine otherwise. She has a bad cough and I heard her hacking a bunch throughout the night.
I told my boss that I might be home with her if she's sick but I will log on and do what I can. She was all "well what are you going to be able to do from home?" And seemed skeptical, even though I've done this before with no issue. I get whatever work done that I can, am available by email and phone, then put In for pto for the rest, assuming I didn't work 40 hours total. This is really annoying because when I actually put in for pto over Christmas, she asked me if I was going to be available. Um, you can't have it both ways lady. It would be much more efficient for me to answer emails and address what I can today, rather than spend Monday morning getting caught up, which would put me behind for the rest of the week before it even began.
Dammit. After being stuck at home with a sick toddler all week, I was supposed to go out to dinner with a friend tonight. I never get to go out, I was really looking forward to it. And of course, DhH woke up sick, he caught whatever DS had He's going to wake up and see if he rallies, but I'm probably SOL for tonight and will have to cancel.
We had a date planned for tomorrow night too! First one in over a month! We both really needed a break. Dammit.

Has anyone purchased tires at Costco? Are they that much cheaper than the dealership? I usually would research all these options but right now IDGAF and just want to have the dealership put on the tires when I get the oil changed this weekend.

Ds2 slept through the night, like all night. Until 640!!!! No binky replacement or anything. I gave him avocado at dinner and he ate a ton (as usual) so I'm thinking that helped. Avocado every day!
Dh is home from his work trip. His ankle looks way better but he has these random bruise circles in random places. But yay for help.
My parents are coming down this weekend to help my sister look for houses and haven't mentioned it to me. I love them and they are so great with the kids but they were just here 2 weekends ago and are coming back the 31. I'm hoping they just go to my sisters (45 mins away). But then I feel guilty for feeling that way.

Lol H and I think that all the time about random stuff like the people that sing the stupid commercial jingles. Or the ones in commercials for feminine itch products. Like do they think "I'll be in showbiz no matter the cost! I will be the face of vagisil an5iitch cream"
Sleep training still sucks...up from 2-3:30 last night. DH can be soooo dumb sometimes. I went to be at 9, knowing that this was going on, while he stayed up until midnight! Then this morning it was whining and moaning because he was "soooo tired". To bad, so sad. Not my problem....grrrr.
There was a big anxiety-inducing conference call at work yesterday. It seems they are totally overhauling my position (and those of all my counterparts) but have given zero details other than "stay tuned". Really?!

I have wondered the same thing about them! Also the woman who does the train song on pbs. She's has a good voice imo. And those guys on Wild Katts on PBS. I bet they make a lot of $$$.
I went to high school with a Grammy level children's musician. I think he chose the path once he was a dad and realized there was no cool music for kids. Needless to say when they came through last spring we took DS1 to his first "concert". It was awesome
A fell asleep on the floor last night. I went in to move her to her bed and she threw a major tantrum from 10-1. She ended up waking C up around 12, so I had an hour of bawling. Awesome.
I was so tempted to just let A sleep with me, but resisted. I thought perhaps their night waking would mean the slept in today- Nope.
Trying to get everything ready before a long car trip is a big pain with 3 kids. We were supposed to leave at 8:00 and DH is still eating breakfast. I should correct myself, leaving the house with DH is a big pain. Lol, at least he's driving.
My kid was like a little drill sergeant this morning. He demanded that he put his own pants on (which he doesn't quite know how to do...), then demanded that he eat yogurt all by himself (which he also doesn't quite know how to do...at least without lots of mess), then he demanded that he wear boots instead of shoes to daycare. But he was so damn cute about all of it, that I let him. lol
Also, does anyone know how long egg yolks will keep if I put them in a jar and stick them in the fridge? A day? Less?
What kind of oatmeal? They're best if you grind it into oat flour (I used my coffee grinder) and going to be awful with old fashioned or steel cut. I'd guess egg yolks will keep a day or two. I made the recipe with whole eggs rather than whites because I hate throwing out egg yolks.
