OMG! Lol.

What a terrible set up, though. My OB has the tables pointing away from the door and there is a curtain that gets drawn across the door opening to ensure privacy.

Who has the table facing the door with no curtain? That's terrible planning. At least you didn't see her face, so you won't know who you saw? Lol.

Every room at my OB and pedis office has the table facing the door with no curtain.

What an awful room setup! Did she see your face? Did you see hers?

I had to have an exam once in the ER and the gurney had me facing the door. The turned the gurney around so I was facing the other way and I'm so glad they did.

Ummmm. I hate one uppers but I can top that. I was getting prepped for my c/s and had asked them to bring DH in ASAP since during the second one I had a panic attack on the table once I was numbed before DH was allowed in. So they were super nice about it and were still getting me prepped. The curtain was up and I was completely exposed from the chest down. They're shaving, putting the cath in. Legs spread. Cleaning my belly. Not a position you even want your DH to see you in. So they say well go get your husband. Great. Nurse walks back in with some man. He's all "ubidah ubidah ubidah" and I'm like "um that's not my husband". Cue the panic of drs and nurses who literally just walked some strange man in to see me in all my glory. It was so ridiculous I could only give an uncomfortable laugh. It was such a breech that they actually had two administrators apologize over the next few hours and let me know they would be changing protocol.
