I keep the hairdryer/curling iron/straightener under the sink or I hand them from hooks on the wall. (I have a little shelf with three hooks under it) I keep the brushes in a short vase/candleholder. and then I have a smaller version of what Tillie posted. I actually got it in the desk organization section because it was less expensive than the ones specific to makeup. I do keep most of my makeup in a makeup bag that I can zip up and put away if necessary.
In this house, we have drawers under the sink. I have the top one for regularly used makeup. Middle one has dryer and flat iron. In the older apartments, I had a plastic sterilite three draw thing that I put either in a corner or in the sink cabinet when there was space.
Do you have any space in your bathroom for extra storage? I have a vanity but it's small (and I like to keep it uncluttered) so I have an ikea storage unit with baskets for all my makeup and hair products/tools.
I have a clear acrylic countertop storage thing for my makeup, but I kind of hate it. I don't like all of it out on the counter. I think I'm going to go back to a caboodles or something. My hair tools are in a basket I got from homegoods, and I put it under the sink.

I have a small acrylic tray on the counter to hold everyday stuff: cleanser, am/pm moisturizer, brow pencil, eyeliner, mascara, a neutral lipstick, powder, hairspray, hair cream, and lip balm. Everything else gets stored in the vanity drawers, in stackable acrylic trays, or under my sink.
Since I have limited counter space in my bathroom (I hate it) I have this nifty large, lined square basket under the sink to hold my blowdryer and my flat iron. It's the right size to fit around the sink pipes.

I have a vintage toothbrush holder that has my eyeshadow brushes. Bigger brushes and eyeliners are in a round vase/jar. I have a basket for all my eye shadow palletes and then I store things by type (mascaras, skin powders and blush, foundation/concealer/primer) in my Ipsy bags, and keep them on a shelf.
In my bathroom cabinet I have 2 drawers. In the top drawer I have different plastic storage options from the container store, for makeup, hair ties, etc. these are what I have: www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10028115&N=&Ntt=Makeup+storage Plus a lipstick one and some smaller ones.
In the bottom drawer I keep my hair dryer, curling iron, straightener, etc.
In the door part of the cabinet I have a basket with some things I don't use often, plus hairspray, gel, and stuff like that.
don't laugh but mine is from hsn. www.hsn.com/products/joy-mangano-biggest-better-beauty-case-3pc-holiday-set/7093463 someone on s&b recommended them. i keep all of my skincare in one, hair pins/ties in a tiny one, everyday make up in one, and then surplus/special make up in another. another case is travel specific but i don't usually bring the entire case, just one or two of the triangles. i bought two sets and ended up giving a small case to my mom because i didn't need it. i love them because i can just roll them up and put them under the counter when i'm done.
I have a couple of these, though I do have a vanity. Is there anywhere you could store something like this? It really does keep things organized and it helps to prolong the life of the brushes because they stand upright.
I've been using something similar (pic didn't quote, it was the clear plastic storage w/slots) on my bathroom counter, recently. I circulate the items in there fairly often, and keep my main stash in a train case.
I wish we had drawers in the bathroom I use. I would be much more organized. DH and I get ready at the same time in the morning, so he uses the master bathroom, and I use the downstairs bathroom.

Luckily we have a linen closet in the bathroom for all of my crap. Plus instead of 2 sinks we have 1 and a vanity so regularly used stuff goes in there. Plus we have the sink cabinet. Now I'm thinking I really need to go through everything this weekend because clearly I have too much stuff. I think Dh maybe has a total of 10 items to my 1000+
Mine is a bit more nail-centric but the boxes on the bottom shelf are for hair and makeup. One has brushes, hair products and things like my diffuser. The other is full of the makeup I use daily. My can't leave the house without products are sitting on top of the boxes. I just pull a box out and put it on the counter next to me while getting ready.
