We have Geico now, I like that they were a lot cheaper than the others lol
We had esurance for several years before we moved but they don't do business in DC so we had to switch.
Our renter's is with State Farm. We have always tried the bundling thing and it never works out to be cheaper, ever. So we just go with 2 companies. Is there some trick to it?

I have State Farm on my car, but only really because the car is technically my parents' car. The title and everything is in their name and they've been talking about getting it switched to mine but we haven't yet (I am listed on the insurance policy though). Luckily I've never had to use the insurance, so I'm not a good person to ask
H has Progressive on his car (we were going to see what the cost was to get him on my parents' policy, but the renewal came up before we really looked into it and they had lowered the payments anyways). He seems to like it. He hasn't really had to use it recently. He did have a minor fender bender last year (with his old car - guy that hit us gave us an amazing trade in value for it when we got the new one.. he got hit by the right person! haha) but I think all of that went through the other person's insurance.
ETA: Renter's insurance is also through State Farm. I don't know the cost because my parents just pay for it all
Farm Bureau...different than farmers. I like that they would insure us period....since we are apparently too far from a fire station to be covered by other companies. Honestly, we were looking to swap to them before we moved because we heard their customer service is so awesome. I hope I don't have to see it in ACTION though LOL.
HoneySpider I always thought bundling was cheaper, but recently as I've been getting quotes I think that going separate for us is indeed going to be cheaper. Dumb me for just assuming. I was always told by everyone bundling saves so many $$$, not all the time apparently haha!
We currently have auto and renters through State Farm and they have been really good to us, but we both turn 25 this year and I thought that my H would get a huge drop (since he's turning 25) and State Farm just did not drop like I thought it would. So far I've had good luck with my quotes and Progressive and Allstate! (Those are my new top 2 contenders)

We use an independent insurance agent who checks all the different companies yearly. So far none can beat my longevity discount with the insurance company I have been with since i had my learners permit at 15. My "years" don't go that far back since it wasn't my policy, but I have nearly a decade on my own. It's with a regional insurance company in the midwest. The customer service has been top notch, and the times I have had to use them have been stress free.
I highly suggest working with an agent who can check different options, bundling vs not bundling.
We're with Meemic. They are in Illinois, michigan and Wisconsin. I get a discount for working at a school. No one has ever beat their prices and customer service is great.
I think it's Farmers. It's okay, no major issues. I loved State Farm when I had it though; especially since I used a family friend as my agent for the longest time.
