Totally made my day--I placed a small order from Lush and they included a free full size shower jelly with a card saying it was a random act of kindness and enjoy. I love them.

I'm watching my 5th episode of Daniel Tiger for the day. I'd like to think if I was a SAHM I wouldn't let DS watch so much TV but damn, it's hard to do anything without having the TV as distraction. Our "favorite" episode about going potty is on.
Tonight I'd like to workout, shower, and start a new book. Woo.

We are home from boston and everything went great!! Dd slept in the car on the way there and woke up just before we pulled into the parking garage. We are a quick late lunch at Flour (thanks for the rec!!) and had just over two hours at the BCM. It was fun - dd loved the water table but it was a little too high for her. Other highlights were the lockers that you can rent (open - shut - open - shut) and the children's height sink for hand washing in the family bathroom lol.
H was super excited we surprised him and DD slept on the way home(despite some traffic).
I brought up doing weight watchers to DH tonight. I've done it before with good success but DH has never done it. We could both stand to lose 20 pounds. He doesn't like that it would be close to $100 a month for both of us to attend meetings and I can't argue that.
Sometimes I mix DD and our dogs up. Our dog was at the back door whining (her signal to go out) and I walked over and said, "Oh, do you want to go outside? Outside? Say outside.". Then I realized she will never say outside because she's a dog!!

I got my hair highlighted today. It looks great but it made me sad because I won't be able to afford it post separation. I don't know how my friend raises his two kids and had a pregnant wife when they pull in $1800/month.
waiting on the dishwasher installers to come back...they were supposed to come between 5-6...it is now almost 7. Our old dishwasher is just sitting in the middle of the kitchen. Please let this get resolved tonight!
gonna watch Shark Tank and do the horizontal polka at some point.
DD is asleep and H wants to go downstairs and play play station. I am trying to decide if I should take a hot bath, do my nails, or go downstairs with DH and watch TV.

In my quest to find the end of the Internet, I somehow stumbled upon some of the old alt.tv newsgroups I used to post on way back in the 90s. Oh, the sweet, innocent early days of message boards, when everyone (including me) used their real name (first and last) as their username. One guy even had his address in his sig! My posts I found had the fan sites I used to have for the TV shows. The big one I had was on geocities, so it's long gone, but apparently Angelfire is still in existence. It's cracking me up.
what's great about lush Brie ? i've heard of them.
Their schtick is that everything is vegan and organic, which frankly I don't really care about, but it's just really awesome. It smells great and makes my hair and skin so much softer, and like I said it has really helped C's skin problems too. I take a ton of baths and their bath bombs/bubble bars are really lovely too.
I would use it exclusively if it was more convenient but the local store is on the other side of town.

That's funy, just today I was saying that I don't think we could be a "no tv for DS" family if I were a sahm , lol.
Brie, which creams have you used for KP? That was your C, right? B has a few rough patches (so does H) and we've been using aquaphor with basically no result.
Yup, C and I both have KP. Sultana of Soap and Dream Cream clear it up within days. It's crazy.
How bad is it to take a 12 month old out for 1-2 hours at 9pm? She's been sleeping since 5:30pm and will likely wake up before then.
I'm curious what would motivate you to do this... my babies could probably do it, but going back to bed after getting home again might be a little rough.
I'm about to head upstairs and read a magazine in bed. I really need to file my nails but, eh, lazy.
DS has had a babbling explosion lately. All he wants to do is chatter. If he wakes up during the night he will sit there and happily babble away for at least an hour. I don't know what to do about it. Turning the sound down on the monitor doesn't completely drown him out. Same deal when he wakes for the day around 5:30.
I just woke up from a two hour nap. H rocked at entertaining J and doing the bedtime routine solo so I could sleep. Now I'm up having soup and hoping that I regain the ability to breathe through my nose soon.
DD1 made a booklet about Martin Luther King, Jr. as a school project today. She colored him in purple on every page, except one, where she colored him white.

DH has been very successful with My Fitness Pal. He has zero desire for the social component of WW, so MFP was a good (free!) fit.
I'm doing okay on it. We'll see if I pull off this Diet Bet or not...
