Ahhhh! I'm so all over the place trying to plan my wardrobe for my weekend Denver trip. Plus I'm flying frontier so I'm trying to pack smart and limit myself to a small bag.
Any help/thoughts/guidance for focusing my planning?
The will all depend on what the weather will actually be like then, and the itinerary buuuuut...I can tell you what I'm planning on bringing, pending more finalized plans .
I'll probably wear riding boots, leggings or skinny jeans, and some sort of tunic top and cardi/blazer combo for the plane on Friday, and bring some other fun top to change into for dinner that night. A light scarf may make an appearance as well.
In case its warmer than boot weather (which I doubt), I'll also throw a pair of cute flats in my case.
For Saturday during the day, I'll probably do something similar to Friday, and I may throw in a dress or skirt/top combo that I can wear with my boots/flats for Saturday dinner/evening. In the event its a fancy affair, I'll consider throwing in heels and tights.
For Sunday, I'll do the leggings and a tunic or dress, and maybe a cardi or scarf depending on weather.
I'll try to wear my bulkiest stuff on the plane, and pack the lighter layers.
Well yesterday it was in the 60s but cloudy and today is 50s and sunny. No snow, I wore suede flats to dinner last night. I wouldn't stress too much yet until it gets closer because the weather can be all over the place and actually quite comfortable!
Jeans or pixie type pants are perfect because they work well for flats or boots. Layers are also key because when it is cooler in the morning and then gets warm you may want to shed or add layers as necessary. Think pashmina or blanket type scarves. I wear a lot of button downs (casual), flannel shirts, and sweaters that I can layer under a vest or jacket. I'm originally from Ft Lauderdale and I'm still cold 24/7 but Denver weather is pretty awesome, I can't lie.
Also Denver is like the most casual city ever. Today I'm wearing Toms, black J.Crew Pixie pants, J.Crew Chambray, Hermes accessories, and my North Face black puffy vest. Wore it to the art museum this morning and I'll wear it to church tonight. I wear this vest ALL the time, if you have something similar I would definitely pack or bring it.

Hard to say... It could be 60 or we could be covered in 3 feet of snow (very unlikely but possible). In general the temp drops FAST when the sun goes down. I was at cherry creek mall and surrounding areas today and tons of girls were wearing lulu leggings, top, and scarf with flat boots. I like skinny jeans and boots or ballet flats. Bring a coat for evening and maybe gloves if you're like me and your hands are always cold. It is super casual here. Have fun!

bimbi284 (or anyone) thoughts on this? I'm trying to decide if it's random or fun. I have olive skinnies and olive leggings I want to wear with it. A few other things too. I wish my tall brown boots didn't have a heel on them. They're not coming to Denver. The black riding boots are.
secretlyevil - not my favorite. You'll end up looking pumpkin like, IMO. Does that top come in a gray or ivory? Another color might be great, just not a fan of that orange with olive skinnies.
If you're in love with the orange, I'd pair them with med/dark denim skinnies and different boots.

Sorry, pic is huge. Stupid tapatalk.

I'm gonna disagree with Smo here. I actually kinda love it. I tend to to like bright colors though, and love me a good cowl neck. I'm not 100% sure of your body type, but if it were me, I'd like it enough to at least try it on and see if it works or not.

I'm 5'8.5"; not skinny but not obviously overweight either. Hmmm I have crazy dark red hair with blonde highlights.
ETA: I ordered a wine sweatshirt tunic and then saw this. Just not sure. I have never heard of the company but was pretty excited to see this piece was US-made.

I think it has potential to look cute - I think it's one of those things that's hard to gauge online.
Where is the sweatshirt tunic from that you mention? Same place? I love a good tunic! The sweatshirt material is just an added bonus. ;-)

I say give it a shot. I like it better than the sweatshirt tunic, TBH, though I like the burgundy color of that a lot.
