So earlier I was standing at the bus stop, minding my own business and just waiting for a bus to come, when this older guy comes up to me and starts talking. First it was just about the school across the street so to be polite I murmured a few "uh huhs" and "yeahs" but then he started ranting about politics. I'm not into politics and I didn't even know who half the people or events he was talking about were but he just kept going on and on and was basically complaining about all these people. Finally I'm like "Yeah I don't really care about that" because it's true - I don't want to have this conversation with him or anyone. He glares at me but then starts crossing the street.
He gets halfway across the street, stops, and starts yelling "TYPICAL! TYPICAL! YOU'RE A TYPICAL BITCH!"
I usually reply "my mom raised me well" when someone calls me a bitch.
I hate talking politics and usually avoid the topic or tell people I am a hippy and hug a tree lol. A guy in my fire house got upset with me when I told him I am not registered with a political party.

I think I mentioned that the first time my new RE tested my prolactin it came back high so she had me redo it...see now it came back normal the 2nd time. Yay! One less thing to worry about.
I overheard my receptionist talking to herself about washing her hands and using hand sanitizer....like she was seriously having a two way convo with herself. I always knew she was crazy but this is an all new level.
One of the hardest hires to date got drunk at one of our fundraisers last night...in front of donors. She's getting fired. I'm so busy. My only sense of calm comes from the fact that the CEO wants to "think about it for a while" before looking to replacing her. She also has someone in mind. At least I can blame our CNO on this one...she referred her.
I just hate trying to replace positions in this department. I always have to cold call since they are hard-to-find.

A friend from work kept inviting H and I to try her new favorite workout, Orange Theory, so we did that tonight. It's kind of like high intensity interval training, but with heart rate monitors. Everyone's info (calories burned, etc.) is displayed during the workout. It was interesting. Not necessarily my favorite thing, but seeing all the info was a cool way of motivating!
On Tuesday nights the local pizza place has a great special, so we often get their 32" mega pizza and share it with our BIL's family. Usually they host since they have 4 crazy kids, but it was our turn tonight. They are out of control messy and their mother does nothing to help clean up their messes. Half my freshly painted walls are covered in pizza sauce because they kept smearing faster than I could clean. They spilled 3 cups of water and never did she ask for a towel to help. They smooshed sauce into the grout. This isn't anything new, but it's still frustrating every time!
I would not be hosting any more in the future if I experienced that. I would be especially pissed at having to clean freshly painted walls. But I despise painting and that would definitely factor in.
